This jacket is one of my favorite items to wear tailgating during football games in the fall (as I sit here daydreaming about UConn’s homecoming game this weekend). I was determined to wear it out (sans the usual flannel) and decided to throw it over this Michael Stars dress from the new fall collection. This “shitake” color is actually present in a ton of their newest line and is the most perfect fall neutral… you’ll be seeing another piece in this same color on the blog next week!
The white tee is a classic closet staple that anchors a lot of my outfits in the cooler months. I love mine with a slightly looser fit and Old Navy’s slub tees are at the top of my list. Not only are they insanely affordable, but they come in a rainbow of colors and patterns and are the base of all my layered outfits. I’ve partnered with Old Navy to show off two of my favorite ways to wear the slub tee to create two very different looks for this season. It’s amazing what the right accessories can do for an outfit!
To create a trendier look, I layered my white slub tee with this over-sized marled cardigan (that you’ve probably seen all over my Instagram) and zip front denim. To make the outfit slightly edgy, I pulled out my favorite fedora and these fun chain and buckle booties. For my second look, I went with classic fall style by layering this camel colored poncho (a huge trend this season), distressed denim and teal colored accessories. Which is your favorite? Classic or chic?!
