All Mixed Up

If you read this blog regularly, you already know I am a fan of mixing patterns.  I love breaking the rules!  I came across this striped blazer at Urban Outfitters and LOVE that it has vertical stripes instead of horizontal (which usually make you look wider).  I found that wearing colors in the same color scheme is what made this work. What fashion rules are you going to break this summer?

Yellow Shorts

I saw this picture of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley a few weeks ago and could not WAIT to recreate this outfit, especially since I had all of the pieces in my wardrobe already! I have been a sucker for anything yellow since spring, so when I saw these shorts a few months ago at Forever for $13, I knew they were coming home with me!  I find it really helpful to shop at more of the inexpensive stores when looking for trendy pieces, such as colored shorts.  It’s always better to invest in pieces you know you’ll wear, so I like to give it a “test drive” before making the splurge!  I love the color of these shorts because they’ll take me well into fall with a pair of cowboy boots and a comfy sweater.
