Rather than buy a bunch of little items on sale (that usually sell out before I can even feature them for you… grrr), I usually use this time to stock up on some staple pieces that I can get my wear out of for the season. STUART WEITZMAN BOOTS
These are usually excluded from all sales, so when I saw they were included… I’m debating buying myself another pair. I’ve had my 5050 boots going on 3 years and invested in my over-the-knee Highland boots in early 2015. They are SO comfortable, last long and keep their shape, and so well made. I can’t recommend investing in them enough — there’s no other brand that can even compete, and trust me… I’ve tried. The 25% off makes them a bit more manageable, and when you’re wearing them for the 100th time this season, you’ll thank me!
CROPPED FRAYED DENIM
My favorite pair of cropped frayed denim is part of the sale — I actually purchased these a year ago during last year’s Shopbop sale and they were my most worn pair of denim in 2017. I love them so much, I’m buying the exact pair in black (also part of the sale). There are a few other pair I’m loving below that hit right at the ankle and keep the frayed hem. They pair perfectly with ankle boots and heels!
FREE PEOPLE COZY PIECES
I used to LOVE Free People for their boho summer pieces and prints, but I’ve found over the last few years — I really love their cozy warm weather pieces more! There are so many great sweaters, cardigans, and scarves part of the sale and it’s a great time to buy head of the cold weather coming! Here are a few of my favorites!
RAILS FLANNEL BUTTON DOWNS
I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but at least I’m consistent, right?! BUY THESE ON SALE. I have about 5 of them (all purchased in past sales) and they are still perfect to wear this upcoming season. You won’t find a softer flannel with a better fit! They are my favorite go-to that can be dressed up or down.
FALL OUTERWEAR
It’s such a great time to stock up on some lighter weight jackets that you can usually get use out of all year round. I love to have a few leather, denim, and suede jackets in different neutrals that are easy to pack, easy to layer, and go with just about anything! Some of my favorite brands include Levi’s, Blank NYC, and BB Dakota for these, and guess what?! They’re ALL part of the sale!
SO, WHAT’S IN MY CART THIS YEAR?!
I’ve had my eye on the black pair of my favorite pair of denim, so those are a go! I’ve also been looking all over for a pair of white ankle boots (a little trendy, but will be so perfect for London and Paris next month). The heel on this pair is EXACTLY what I wanted, so they are currently in the cart! I’m also going to be scooping up this Free People sweater. And, I’m doing everything NOT to buy another pair of Stuart Weitzman boots, but it’s going to be hard to persuade me otherwise. #whoops
