5 Transitional Fall Outfits to Wear Now

Labor Day Weekend unofficially ends the summer fun.  As much as I want summer to stay forever after our awful 6 month winter last year… I always start itching to start wearing jeans, lightweight sweaters, and boots towards the end of August.  I’m not RUSHING SUMMER OFF by any means, but I love being layered and fall is my absolute favorite season to dress for.  I’m rounding up FIVE outfits featuring some transitional fall pieces that you can start wearing now!

FLORAL MAXI DRESS & BOOTS

Frye Ellen Boots

I’m never one to turn down a floral maxi dress and this one features the color of the season for me!  I’m currently craving all things mustard and this long sleeved maxi dress is one of the prettiest prints!  I paired it with these fun studded Frye boots — the quality is worth every penny!

CROPPED WHITE DENIM & CAP-TOE HEELS

WAYF Pembrook Tie Front Blouse

Don’t put away your white denim just yet — early fall is actually my favorite time to style white jeans!  They look so chic with fall prints and muted colors and can help add brightness to your outfits during these transitional weeks!  I’m also OBSESSED with these cap toe low block heels… I had a similar pair a few years ago but love the slingback style on this pair — plus, they are under $60!

SWEETHEART TOP & RAW HEM SKINNY JEANS

J Brand Alana Jeans

These sweetheart tops aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.  I love this striped one Free People style, but it comes in a few other colors including mustard which is now on my list for fall.  I paired it with denim shorts all summer, but love it styled with this mid wash skinny jeans with a raw hem.  I’m slowwwwly stepping away from all things distressed when it comes to denim, and these are helping!

PRINTED BLOUSE & BUCKLE MULES

Sam Edelman Linnie Flat Mules

Just like with your white jeans, fall is a great time to still wear some white accessories!  These white mules were a purchase after I was coveting the Gucci mules I have in black in the white shade.  I couldn’t bring myself to make the splurge, so I scooped up this pair when I saw them back in stock and I’m SO glad I saved myself about $500.

STRIPED COLOR SWEATER & COGNAC MULES

Wayf Color Striped Cropped Sweater

One of my FAVORITE trends this year is the striped sweater.  I’m such a sucker for a pop of color and this sweater is screaming all the amazing colors of fall.  Already picturing it in front of some gorgeous fall foliage with a pumpkin hot coffee in hand.

LOVE the inspiration of these great looks. And I always forget that you CAN wear white after Labor Day if you pair it up right. Thanks for the tips!
