1 A Glam Engagement

Amazing Moments with Dove

Oh So Glam Wedding

All Photos Rebecca Arthurs

I’m so thrilled to be teaming up with Simply Stylist and Dove on the new Amazing Moments campaign that puts Dove Clinical Protection Antiperspirant to the test during a real-life proposal!  If you guys haven’t seen it, make sure to check it out below – it brings back all the feelings of my proposal and the excitement/nerves from my wedding last summer!

As I’ve mentioned before, we planned our wedding in a little under 7 months from when we got engaged – so there honestly wasn’t any time to be nervous.  We were doing everything full steam, and the condensed planning process kept my mind of what it would actually feel like to walk down the aisle.  The day of our wedding, the girls and I woke up early, starting popping the champagne and they made sure country music was playing in the background to keep me distracted!  When we finally lined up right before the ceremony – it was only then that I really let it sink in.  We’re really getting married.

Luckily, I had my Dad by my side.  I told him the night before during the rehearsal, “I don’t want to cry, so please don’t cry – just keep me laughing!” – and he held up to that promise, and calmed any jitters I started to have.  And here we are, almost a year later… getting ready to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and almost 10 years together.  If you missed any of our wedding posts, make sure to start by seeing my favorite highlights here.  You can then see getting ready the morning of, the details and decor, and our rehearsal dinner!

Dove Clinical Protection offers undeniable wetness protection and has 1/4 moisturizer to care for skin, so you’re protected throughout all of life’s amazing moments.

A huge thanks to Simply Stylist and Dove for sponsoring today’s post.

A little peek into one of those days where I stack all my appointments and errands together.

This is not an everyday thing. I just know myself well enough to know that if I have one random appointment in the middle of the day, I end up thinking about it all day and getting nothing else done. 🤪 So when I can, I try to group things together and make a real day out of it.

Started the day at @holistichealthcode, which has been a big part of me trying to understand why I’ve felt so off since having two kids. After getting through that first year of two under two, I did all the “right” things. I cut back on coffee. I cut alcohol. I moved my body more. I went to therapy. All of it helped a little, but I still had this feeling in my gut that something in my body was not quite right.

That is what led me to start working with @dr.cait. This appointment was actually a follow up to supplements I started back in October, and now we are adding in a few new ones to address some gut issues that had been coming up too. We have been looking at things I had never really paid attention to before, like hormones, stress, and how my body is actually functioning instead of just assuming this is what motherhood feels like. It has been eye opening in a way I did not expect. I’m happy to share more about this because it has been FASCINATING and doesn’t get talked about enough in my opinion. 👏🏻

Then crossed the street for Dysport with @amandarose_aprn, who has been helping me look less exhausted than I feel for over six years, and somehow ended with a very long lunch with @stylecusp where we still did not get through everything we wanted to talk about and just kept texting after.

Trying to share more of these in between days. Not the highlight reel, just what life looks like when I batch things and try to take care of myself in this season.

If I had to start over, these are the first things I’d buy again.
The glow helpers. The lazy-girl upgrades. The “why does this work so well?” products.

Consider this my almost-40 starter pack.

Comment YES and I’ll DM you every link ✨

Buying spring shoes during a blizzard because future me deserves nice things.

These flats and styles like them have been top sellers for me for over a year, so when this raffia pair showed up, I knew they were going straight into my spring rotation. I cannot wear them outside right now without risking my life, but mentally, I am building outfits already. 👏🏻

If you are snowed in and dreaming of warmer days too, this is your sign to start bookmarking the pieces you will actually wear when coats come off.

You usually hear the finished episode. 🎙️
This is everything that happens before we hit record.

For those who are new here: I co-host @prettyinpinkagain with one of my best friends & neighbor @kristinabontempo (who goes by T to her closest friends and our PIPAs). It’s a podcast where we talk honestly about motherhood, identity, and the seasons of life no one really prepares you for.

This is a real behind-the-scenes look at our podcast day — from getting ready, to coordinating the vibe, to building episode guides so the conversation flows without us completely yapping the whole time.

A lot of our episodes start the same way:
something comes up in real life, you guys weigh in, T and I talk it through… and suddenly we realize it needs to be an episode.

This week’s conversation came straight from that place — real messages, real experiences, and a transition so many moms quietly struggle with.

Can’t wait for you to hear this one 🩷

👉 DM PODCAST and I’ll send you everything from this video (podcast link is in my bio to listen, you can also shop the reel via LTK).

    Kitchen finds I actually use.
Not just cute. Not just trending. Actually making my life easier.

From the under-$15 mandolin that keeps all my fingers intact ✋
to the viral chicken shredder, matcha mixer, electric salt + pepper, and the plates that convinced my kids eating is fun now.

These are the real MVPs of my kitchen right now.

Saturday in winter looks like a matching set, a cozy zip-up, and something warm on top. Nothing fancy, just comfortable pieces that make it easy to leave the house and still feel put together.

I’ve been leaning into simple outfits like this lately, the kind you don’t have to overthink but still feel good wearing. Sneakers, a roomy tote, and layers I can take on and off as the day goes.

If you’re into easy weekend style, this one’s for you.

All the pieces will be in LTK and Shop My. Comment WEEKEND and I’ll send you the links!

Sorry, I can’t hear you. I constantly complain I have no time, and yet here I am glued to the most toxic show imaginable.

Millennials, why are we like this? #tellmelies

Also, if you don’t have a group chat about this show with your girlfriends, you’re really missing out.

My youngest just turned two, which means I’ve officially been a mom of two for two years. That milestone has had me reflecting on something I remember saying after I had my first.

I used to say that a lot of things felt different, but I didn’t personally feel that different. I wore that like a badge of honor. I felt proud that I could step into motherhood without losing myself.

Having two kids changed that in ways I didn’t fully expect. Not because I love them any differently, but because your time, energy, and attention are constantly split. There’s no real off switch, and very little space that’s just yours.

What surprised me most wasn’t the chaos. It was how much growth was required alongside them. Learning how to stay present, how to take care of myself in smaller ways, and how to evolve without disappearing.

Sharing a few thoughts from this season, for anyone else who’s been here too.
