I’m back from a whirlwind trip to NYC! If you were following along with me on Instagram (which you SHOULD if you’re not already), you probably saw that I was in New York City with REVOLVE last week for #REVOLVEaroundtheworld New York — basically checking off everything that had been on my NYC bucket list! You can usually find me wearing something REVOLVE on any given day, and they have been so good to little Oh So Glam over the last 5+ years, so to say I was excited to FINALLY join a trip with them is an understatement! For those of you unfamiliar, REVOLVE hosts several trips a year for their favorite influencers AROUND THE WORLD — with plenty of parties, activities, and experiences for us to share on Instagram wearing all clothing and beauty items from Revolve. REVOLVE also had a week-long Pop Up Shop in SoHo — so there were fun events planned around the store as well including clothing launches with Shae Mitchell and Chrissy Teigen. It was a jam packed few days, and I was so lucky that I got to bring my sister-in-law with me this time! She JUST moved to New York and was waiting to start her new job at the Intermix headquarters. The timing could not be more perfect, and she was the perfect person to share this fun experience with!
I traveled into NYC bright and early last week wearing this insanely cozy sweater with these fun statement sleeves! I styled this sweater a few ways during my trip and it’s set to be one of my fall staples this season! I also brought out this fun belt bag as the perfect (and practical) accessory to go with a few of my looks. I love how this bag instantly styles this outfit on another level!
To kick off the week, Revolve hosted a brunch at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens — a place I had been wanting to check out for years and one of the most Instagram friendly places I’ve ever been — seriously, every little corner was a photo dream! It was a gorgeous fall day, and it was so great getting to meet the other influencers and Revolve team that we would be spending the week with! I re-styled this sweater with this fun mini skirt and my favorite boots that I have been wearing all season long.
The days were long, but so insanely worth it. The night event didn’t START until 10pm… so Maya and I rallied as hard as we could! We spent the night hanging out at Paul’s Baby Grand — a really fun, eclectic bar underneath the Roxy Hotel downtown with palm print wallpaper and red velvet couches. I needed a photo of this sequin, plaid jumpsuit (which is a perfect holiday party option), so Maya convinced me to get up on the couch for a snapshot and before I knew it, there was a Revolve photographer helping us get the shot with a production/studio light. 😉
After waking up basically dead from the night before, I sucked down a smoothie and headed off to 305 Fitness for a dance/workout class for Revolve’s active line, LoveWave. If you guys follow Danielle from WeWoreWhat (one of my favorite NYC based bloggers), you might see her #WeDancedWhat videos with the Rickey Sisters. Maya and I were SO excited to take this class — we met Sammy and Alyssa at some of the earlier events and couldn’t wait to learn the routine. I grew up dancing and was on a few semi professional dance and cheer teams until I was 26, so it felt AMAZING to get back in the studio. It’s totally like riding a bike — you get right back into the swing of things! I can’t wait to go back in and take another class and if you’re in NYC, make sure to check them out!
I had SO MANY questions and DMs about this shag coat — total 70’s vibes that I am loving right now. It fits oversized, I’m wearing XS here, and comes in a few other colors. It’s definitely not a winter coat by any means, but it’s extremely warm and a perfect fall jacket! I wore this look to a few other meetings I took while in NYC.
Another night, another night OUT. You might remember these boots I was raving about during New York Fashion Week last month — I pulled them out again and styled them with this tuxedo-inspired velvet dress and belt bag! We spent the night at Magic Hour — the largest rooftop in NYC on top of the Moxy Hotel in Times Square (with a gorgeous view of the Empire State Building).
Something I have ALWAYS wanted to do is ice skating in Central Park — it’s such an EPIC New York City moment to check off your bucket list! No surprise over here that Revolve made that happen. We all looked hysterical — dressed up in anything but practical outfits and trying to skate while Instagramming… which is a lot harder than it looks!
For the last night out, my husband came into NYC to join me as my date and we headed off to Avenue New York, a trendy night club that Revolve rented out! We stayed out late dancing, got to see a surprise performance — it was the perfect end to a really fun week!
This was at the beyond adorable REVOLVE Pop Up shop in SoHo — they had fun shopping events all week! I’m trying to talk REVOLVE into having a permanent address in NYC — that JUST might make me move to the Big Apple!
