Summer Shoe Trends You Need To Know

I’m ignoring the fact that the weather in Connecticut feels more like FALL at the moment and choosing to think positive!  We’re SO close to officially kicking off summer and I have warmer weather on the brain — especially after my weekend trip to Charleston! It’s crazy to think we’re less than two weeks out until Memorial Day Weekend!  I’ve been working to create a layout here on Oh So Glam where I can round up certain trends each season — it’s one of the most requested posts I’m constantly asked for! Today, I’m rounding up SEVEN of my favorite shoe trends for summer and sharing what I think you should invest in this season!  I hope you all love the new layout — it makes it easier to shop than ever before!

STACKED HEEL

Whether you’re a bridesmaid this summer or a guest, you need a pair of these in your life for wedding season! The thicker heel makes them easier to move around in and gives way more support so you can walk on grass and dance all night!

ESPADRILLE SNEAKERS

Definitely the most practical on the list… you’ll find an excuse to wear these with everything! I wear mine with denim, dresses, shorts – you name it! They’re also perfect to travel in!

STUDDED DETAILS

Summer tends to bring out a more girlie side of me with boho prints and flowy silhouettes. I love added a little edge to my looks and studded detailing is the best way to do it!

PLATFORMS

They may look intimidating, but you should jump on board because the platform trend is here to stay! Not only are they comfortable, but you get a little lift without a heel!

LACE-UP

I loved this trend so much last season and was glad to see it sticking around!

GLADIATOR

This trend has been around for a while, but since I get so many questions on the best summer shoes for traveling (especially to Europe), I had to add these to the list! I wore these shoes during my Italy and Greece trips and they’re perfect for walking around (the lace-up detailing makes them fuss-free).

MULES

The slide loafer was my go-to last fall so I’ve taken the trend into summer territory with slide sandals and mule heels!
