A huge thanks to Stage Stores for sponsoring today’s post.
I have been itching to pull out my favorite jeans and sweaters to start layering, which is what happens to me at the end of every August. I absolutely love dressing for fall — it’s actually my favorite season to dress for, so when I put together this look, I basically incorporated a bunch of trends I’m excited about this upcoming season all into one outfit! I find it funny to say that flare jeans are back “in” because, they’ve actually never really left. They’ve always been around, and you could definitely always find them if you needed, but have typically been on the back burner, while some other denim trends took the spotlight for the last several years. To me, they are more of a classic style, and I instantly feel tailored and polished each time I put them on. It’s a style you can invest in and wear to work, to meet the girls at happy hour, and dress down for weekend wear.
What’s a little newer to me this year is my love for dark wash denim. I have gravitated towards light wash and medium denim for years, but dark wash denim is back and bigger than it’s been in a long time. You’ll find dark wash denim in just about every style right now, but I especially love it on flares. This pair is one of the best fits I’ve tried in a long time — the high waist makes them insanely comfortable, there’s just enough stretch to help them keep their shape, and the contrast stitching is a fun touch!
I picked up this style from Stage Stores, along with this fun cutout sweater in a mustard shade I am absolutely obsessed with this season! If you’re in a need of a denim refresh this fall or for back-to-school (featuring all the latest trends and styles), definitely add Stage Stores as a shopping destination. They have all the brands you love — including Levi’s, one of my go-to denim brands! They even created a super helpful Denim Fit & Style Guide, which explains all about the different rises, fits, and trends available this season!
