Happy Friday! Is it just me, or did this week feel slower than normal?! Wednesday seriously felt like Friday to me and then the rest of the week just dragged! I’m so excited for this weekend — we’re heading out to dinner with some friends tonight, I have a bridal shower tomorrow, and then the Kentucky Derby party tomorrow night — if you’re a CT local, you can buy tickets to the party I’m attending tomorrow night with the Junior League of Hartford HERE! I’m also leaving for a little press trip to Palm Beach with Marissa on Monday — so I’ll be spending my Sunday packing up some new spring/summer pieces to shoot while I’m down there!
I’m sharing some Friday Faves with you today including my go-to pair of denim shorts and some new beauty products I’ve been loving!
THE BEST DENIM SHORTS
I’ve been wearing these since our trip to The Bahamas, but I had a few readers asking about denim shorts and thought these would be worth a mention again! I absolutely love the length (you can see the front of the shorts in this photo), and the fit of the shorts is the perfect blend of loose, without looking sloppy! Just make sure to size down (I’m usually a size 25 jeans and these are a 24).
NEW BROW POWDER
I was starting to run low on both my brow pencils (I switch off from Urban Decay and NYX), so I was about to order a few more when I watched my friend Sheridan’s Instagram Stories and noticed how gorgeous her brows were! I ended up texting her and saying, “I NEED WHATEVER IS ON YOUR BROWS” and she told me it was Ka-BROW from Benefit! Well, that was probably a record order time! The top is actually a brush which you dip into this creamy/powder formula. I ended up watching their video to learn to apply it (it is a learning curve), but once I got the hang of it, there’s NO going back. I’m wearing shade 2 for reference! I’m planning to do a #GLAMin60seconds video tutorial for this in the coming weeks!
NEUTRAL WEDGES
I had a lot of you gals asking about where to find the best wedges this season — a few asking for less expensive options for the See by Chloe pair I wore in The Bahamas and Miami! I always like to test drive what I’m recommending to you guys — so I ended up ordering these Treasure & Bond wedges that I kept seeing for under $80! Since they arrived a few weeks ago, I have barely taken them off! They go with everything — give me a little needed height but also still feel casual enough to pull off with almost any outfit! I’m typically a size 7, but ordered these in a 7.5 (that was the only size left), and they actually fit perfect!
LASH PRIMER
I typically gravitate towards fuller lashes when it comes to mascara needs — I really don’t love the look of spidery lashes and would rather have them have a ton of volume over length! I would love to have BOTH, but it always seems like you get one or the other. I was in Sephora checking out mascara and one of the girls ended up asking if I used a primer (which I did not), so she recommended this one from Lancome! This one conditions and primes the lashes before applying mascara and has helped my go-to current mascara work double time to give me some length as well! It’s a step from my beauty routine I was missing!
DAINTY GOLD NECKLACES

As soon as it turns warm and I can finally rid the layered turtleneck look, I love reaching for my dainty gold necklaces to help compliment an outfit! I love the way they always compliment a tan and going dainty is always much more comfortable to wear in heat than heavy, bulky jewelry! I love this one from Gorjana that I’ve worn both alone and layered with a choker necklace!
