Friendsgiving Decor

I just love this time of year!  We’re officially kicking off the holiday season celebrating (a little early) my favorite holiday… Thanksgiving!  Or actually, in this case, Friendsgiving!  This has been a little tradition of ours for the last few years, we celebrate and catch up with some of our favorite couples right before the holiday madness begins!  I’m so excited to team back up with American Express today to show you how we throw an epic Friendsgiving at our house!

I’ll be showing off our redesigned dining room later next month but it’s been so nice to have a more formal space for entertaining larger groups!  Although we tend to keep our menu casual – full of appetizers, snacks and cocktails, we love being able to all sit around the dining room table!  I kept our tablescape on the simple side this year than in the past – using this gorgeous faux pine garland as a table runner with white pumpkins, mini candles and pinecones as decor accents!  This mulled cider is always a holiday favorite of mine to make — I’ve made it a few years in a row now for Friendsgiving and our other holiday parties and it’s so amazing both hot and cold!  I set up our bar cart as a little cocktail station using this mason jar dispenser with rosemary sprigs, cinnamon sticks and cranberries left aside so our guests could decorate their glasses!  It makes for a perfect photo opportunity!  I also used rosemary for a little greenery on our napkins with this beautiful gold twine.  We didn’t need name tags for our group (and to keep it more casual), but this would be such a cute way to add name tags to your table for a larger group!

I planned this entire holiday get-together using my American Express Blue Cash Everyday card knowing that I’d get 3% back on all the yummy food I purchased from my grocery store, and 1% off on all my decor – it always pays to entertain at home!  Make sure to visit American Express for ideas for Epic Holiday Hosting this season — they will be featuring a new collection of holiday recipe and DIY inspiration each week!
