Must-Have Summer Accessories + Tips for Scoring the Best Deals on Summer Shopping

We’ve unofficially kicked off summer, so it’s time to get your wardrobe in gear for all your summer events!  Summer is always our busiest time of year (forget relaxing), and our weekends are always jam packed with event after event — weddings, picnics, & summer trips to some of our favorite local spots in New England!  Dressing in the summertime can be both easy and challenging at the same time — you need to somehow beat the heat without feeling blah and underdressed! I’m partnering with eBay today to show you how easy it is to accessorize this summer & sharing some of my favorite tips and tricks for scoring the best deals!  There are thousands of items ready to ship on eBay — no bidding, and no waiting! I’m sharing THREE accessories below that you NEED this summer and an easy outfit for you to replicate to wear to whatever is on your agenda these next few months!

Denim Jacket.  A classic staple you just MIGHT already have still hiding away at your parent’s house from high school.  If you don’t — time to hit ADD TO CART immediately! If you look back over the last 7 years on this blog, you will find me styling denim jackets year after year.  It’s one of the most versatile items in my closet (I wear them all year long), but it’s a MUST HAVE during the summer. I style them over dresses and skirts, with jeans (matching the denim color together is cool again, I promise!), and I wear them everywhere from the beach to dinner.  Already have one and wear it all the time like I do?! Add a white one to your collection this season!

Lightweight sunglasses.  During those 90 degree humid days, there’s nothing worse than a thick pair of heavy sunglasses sliding down your nose.  Time to lighten up! You all know my deep love for Ray Ban — I have SO MANY OF THE STYLES, but always tend to go back to my favorite round pair.  In an effort not to be a total predictable snooze this year, I scooped up this fun square shape for a sliiiiight change from the norm. They are lightweight and comfortable, stay put, and add a fun touch of GLAM with the gold trim — no outfit feels complete without them!

Statement bag.  I always get SO many compliments anytime I take this bag anywhere!  It’s so perfect for summertime and adds a little something to any outfit you choose to wear!  I wear it with casual styles and have also used it for weddings and events this time of year.

If you haven’t shopped on eBay before, let me let you in on my top two tips and tricks I always use for getting the best deals:

Use the ‘Buy it Now’ filter.  I actually rarely bid on items on eBay — so, when searching for something I’m looking for, or even just when browsing a category, I always use this filter to ensure that the sellers have that option.  ‘Buy it Now’ means that you can purchase the item immediately for whatever price it’s listed at.

Explore the eBay Fashion category page.  Looking for inspo instead of a specific item?  You can head to the women’s fashion page and either browse a certain category (like bags or apparel), shop for brand new arrivals, or shop for featured brands like Madewell, Free People, and Zara.
