New Year’s Eve Outfit Ideas

If you’re still looking for an outfit for New Year’s Eve — I’ve got you covered.  I did a poll last week on my Instagram Stories and the majority of you were interested in me creating some GLAM NYE looks (and some casual, yet still glam ones, too)!  No matter what your plans are for Sunday night, it’s fun to add a little touch of something extra that you can totally get away with for the night!  Ring in 2018 in something fun!

SHOW SOME SHOULDER

I’m still deciding what to wear this NYE and this outfit is a top contender.  Although I’m slightly sick of off-the-shoulder looks, (it’s been done season after season), there was something about this lace dress that was calling my name.  I love the scalloped detailing along the top and bottom hem, the billowy sleeves, plus, it’s the only night of the year to get away with something this riskaaayyy.  I also pulled out my favorite Valentino Rockstuds that I haven’t worn on the blog in some time  — if you love these, there’s such an amazing dupe I recommend getting that will totally give you the same GLAM look as these!

FAUX FUR, FAUX SURE

If you’re going for a more casual look and want to amp it up a tad, add a layer of faux fur to a basic outfit!  It’s amazing what a faux fur coat can do to a look!  I love a faux fur leopard coat for a little something EXTRA and a little pattern play action.  My coat is old, but I found a similar style coat and found these booties on major sale!

ALL ABOUT THAT LACE

If you’re going for a classic look, a lace dress and nude pumps are the way to go.  This dress was one of my most purchased items of the season from you guys — it’s currently on sale (and would also make a perfect dress for any winter weddings or even saving for Valentine’s Day).

VELVET CRUSH

Adding a touch of velvet is an EASY way to GLAM up an all-black look.  This velvet blazer was such a great staple for me during the holidays this year — it’s classic and looks so chic over just about anything.  I also love velvet for accessories — plus, it’s an easy way to incorporate a trend you love that you’re not entirely comfortable making the feature of the outfit.  These shoes (from Revolve brand, Raye the Label), are the perfect pop of pink.  And, while the heel is high for sure — the platform actually makes them quite comfortable!  Plus, they’re currently on sale, and are going to be perfect to carry into spring!

‘TIS THE SEQUIN

Another one of my contenders for this weekend, it’s all about sequins on NYE.  I scooped up this gorgeous dress after working on a New Year’s Eve project with BHLDN a few weeks back and have been oggling it hanging in my closet ever since.  I also pulled out these velvet heels and statement earrings to really GLAM up this look… because, let’s be honest… when can you wear all of these items at once?!  ONLY ON NYE!
