For a few last minute meetings and traveling home from NYC last week, comfort was calling my name. I had dressed up and put a full face of makeup on for the last 6 days and it was time to just be laid-back. I actually picked up this cozy flannel during my trip so when the temps dropped, I immediately put it on. My girl Ashley snapped these photos downtown while we finished our week out at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park – more on that below!
These white slide loafers have to be the best purchase I’ve made all year! I love the way they look with shorts, jeans, dresses – you name it, and they’re so easy to just slide on and go. I scooped up a similar style (sans buckle) and also brought them to NYFW. I swear, they’re the only pair of shoes that still looks like you are trying when you are really not. I love them so much, you’ll be seeing another post with them next week (sorry I’m not sorry). Also, if you love this crossbody bag with the little tassel (but hate the price), I found two similar styles for you to get the look! This one is identical (minus the logo) and this Tory Burch one is about half the price!
After 4 days in mid-town – being at the center of all things NYFW, it was nice to take a break and move away from the action to the Ritz Carlton Battery Park. I spent the week with Ashley from The Teacher Diva, Bethany from B Soup and Ashley from SideSmile Style. To be honest, we were a little worried that we would be too far away from shows and events, but since we weren’t in all the congestion of mid-town, it was actually easier to get around and we started arriving on-time to everything! We also loved the famous Club Access that Ritz Carlton hotels are known for. It was so nice to have access to waters, coffee, tea and snacks throughout the day and we even ate breakfast and lunch in there a few of the days since we were so tired of having to go out to eat. We even made time for a few happy hours with gorgeous views of the water. A huge thanks to the Ritz Carlton for hosting our stay – make sure to see more #RCMemories on Instagram!
