If you were following along on Instagram or Snapchat, you may have seen that I spent a beautiful weekend in NYC with two of my best friends for a mini getaway!  We brunched at Rosemary’s (YUM), shopped, said “YES” to a very special dress, and finished the night renting our own private karaoke room singing throwbacks.  It was amazing.  It’s honestly been about a year since I’ve been to New York without it being for work, so this was such a treat and so much fun!

The weather was beyond perfect – and that never happens when I go to visit! During October, the weather can go from literally freezing in the morning, to a summer day by late afternoon.  I layered this floral shirtdress with my leather jacket (going on 4 seasons strong with this one), this long knit scarf and my favorite black OTK boots.

The over-the-knee boot trend is still going strong this season and there are now so many options as opposed to a few years back!  These Steve Madden boots are almost identical to mine for a fraction of the price and I’ve also heard great things about the fit on this pair of Marc Fisher boots!  When it warmed up later in the afternoon, I just took off the jacket and scarf – I love the print and lace-up detailing on this dress!
