I can’t even believe I’m typing these words, but it’s really time to think about fall fashion. Although I always love summer dresses and sandals, I really do feel most like myself (and I’m much more comfortable) in boots and oversized sweaters. Blame it on the fact that this New England girl is always cold… I love to layer up and have my feet covered! Although I love ALL BOOTS and never discriminate, there’s two trends this season that I’m most excited about: Chunky Chelsea Boots and Combat Boots! Platform shoes in general are having a MOMENT and half this year so it’s no surprise that it’s trickled into boots as well! Let’s take a closer look at the trends I’m loving!

Let’s go a step further… CHUNKY chelsea boots! I grabbed this pair from Nasty Gal last season but there are so many options to choose from this year! I love how these look with jeans and a shacket, faux leather leggings and an oversized sweater, and even with a mini dress!

Trend: Combat Boots
These aren’t so much as a trend as an absolute STAPLE in my closet. I’ve been wearing combat boots for years and years and they’re always my number one reached for style. This year, the style is a little more chunky for a little added height. They look so chic paired with simple black skinny jeans and an oversized blazer.
