Ahhh, the statement bag. Is there anything cuter?! Being a purse gal, I just love carrying a little work of art on my arm. You all may remember that I carried a similar style with me last year (which Raj named “Sushi Bag”) and this year’s Cult Gaia “it” bag is even more fun and intricate! I love wearing a conversation piece, and a Cult Gaia bag definitely starts a conversation — last year, when we were in Cabo, I must have been stopped by every single person we passed when I was carrying it for 10 days straight! It really can take an outfit to the next level, and I’m all about having fun with what you wear! I’m planning to bring this one to The Bahamas with me next week, and can’t wait to style it with some warmer weather pieces… but for now, this is about as “spring” as you can get me!

Speaking on new spring pieces, another item that will be on repeat this year… this comfortable striped shirt! A button down shirt is one of the most versatile pieces you can have in your closet! I love to bring them with me on vacation and wear with a pair of jean shorts knotted at the bottom for a casual day outfit, wear it open over a swimsuit (as a coverup), or with a pair of skinny jeans at night if the temps are cool. I didn’t have any short sleeve button downs, so I ‘m happy to be adding this neutral to my wardrobe this season and I’m sure it’ll get plenty of wear!
A reader also recently asked about denim jackets and if they were still in style — I’m happy to report that YES, denim jackets are still all the rage. If you haven’t upgraded yours from high school yet (it took me about 10 years to do so), I am OBSESSED with this one I’m wearing above! There’s nothing more classic than a Levi’s denim jacket — this one fits a bit more oversized (so size down for sure), but it’s the absolute perfect wash and goes with everything!
