9 Fall Outfits I Couldn’t Wait to Wear in London + Paris

Well, I’m officially back state side — and plan to be back here for some time.  It’s been a CRAZY two straight months of travel and I’m so happy to be home and sitting back in front of my large desktop computer.  I can’t wait to share more travel content with you guys here… I did a poll on Instagram before I left and a majority of you said you loved my travel content, so your wish is my command!  I have a ton of photos to share from London and Paris — from where we stayed, what we did, and where we ate and will be spending some time pulling those Travel Diaries together for you this week into next. My mom and I had the best 10 days away in Europe and it was so nice getting in some much needed girl time — we had been planning this trip since last year and it was every bit as great as we imagined.  I was also so excited to visit both of these cities in the fall and break out some pieces I had picked up (or unboxed from storage from previous seasons).  It was probably the best trip I’ve ever packed for, so I’m sharing 9 of my favorite outfits below, and the trend I built the look around.  Would love to know your favorite look — leave a comment below!

PLAID BLAZER

Probably one of my favorite outfits I’ve ever worn in my life. I picked up this plaid blazer right before I left and did a little try on session with you gals on my Instagram (and you loved it too). It’s a huge trend this fall and it was perfect for the mild London temperatures we had (and doubled as either a layer or a jacket alone). I paired it with this ribbed turtleneck, my favorite cropped jeans, and these stretch ankle boots!

Sanctuary Floral Bomber Jacket

FLORAL BOMBER

All about those lightweight jackets that you can layer. As a frequently cold human, it’s (#1) practical and (#2) still stylish if you choose to remove your outer layer. A few of you commented on pairing navy and black together and messaged me asking if this was okay. Black and blue together is actually one of my favorite color combos and in my eyes, it’s TOTALLY acceptable. I think as long as you keep the rest of the outfit streamlined and ONE of the colors is the standout. In this case, I made the bomber jacket the focal point and kept the rest of the outfit black!

Pink Velvet Pleated Dress

VELVET DRESS

I’m so sorry to those who messaged me about this dress — this exact version sold out SO fast after I featured it! I know a few of you grabbed it early, but I found a few similar styles if you click through below! I wore this look for afternoon tea at Sketch (the famous all pink restaurant in London with the funky decor) and I basically matched!

Free People Marilyn Boots

WHITE ANKE BOOTS

Definitely not a trend for everybody, but I LOVE these boots and basically wore them to the ground in London. Yes, my friends, the kitten heel is back, which makes this pair of boots even more fabulous (and worth the money) in my eye because they’re actually wearable! I wore them a few different ways including with dresses (above) and with cropped denim!  If the pointy toe is too trendy for you, try this block heel pair!

Marks & Spencer Trench Coat

TRENCH COAT

I couldn’t go to London without bringing a classic trench coat (although I barely needed it with the gorgeous weather we had). One morning, we did wake up to some drizzle, so I made sure to wear it over my outfit! I grabbed this one earlier this spring — it’s under $75 and looks just like the Burberry one (at a fraction of the price).

Sanctuary Velvet Slip Dress

LAYERED SLIP DRESS

One of my favorite tricks to wearing a slip dress in the fall is to layer a light turtleneck underneath it.  I own a few of these ribbed turtlenecks in several colors (and packed the black, white, and striped versions with me on this trip for layering).  I totally coordinated with a lot in Paris, including the famous little stumps at the Jardin du Palais Royal.

Fall in Paris

CAMEL COAT

If there’s one classic I’ve had in my wardrobe, it’s the camel coat.  For a trendy dresser like myself, I love that this type of coat really pulls together a look.  I found a similar style below and a great investment piece HERE!  I also love pairing over-the-knee boots under a midi dress for extra warmth!

Stuart Weitzman Lowland

MINI SKIRT & OTK BOOTS

You all know how much I love my OTK boots — I have a few pair from Stuart Weitzman that are just the absolute best of the best.  I scooped up these suede pair in black and wanted to wear them with my faux leather mini skirt. I always like to make sure my skirts are on the looser side and look for a length that comes to my mid thigh at least. To keep the outfit semi conservative, I paired this cardigan sweater (size up) so it gives a bit more coverage.

Somedays Lovin Starry Eyed Mesh Mini Dress

MESH SLEEVE DRESS

I always love when my arms are covered, so the mesh sleeve trend is something I can easily get on board with.  This dress gives the illusion that it’s a mesh overlay over a slip dress, but it’s actually just one piece.  I paired it with these fleece black tights (Express is the ONLY place I get my tights — they last and never rip), and these stretch ankle boots!

*A huge thanks to my mom who took ALL OF THESE photos!  She’s a rockstar!
