Fall Staple: The Sweater Dress

If you haven’t yet, make sure to add the sweater dress to your list of items to purchase this season.  I absolutely adore this Topshop one under $75 I picked up late in the summer and couldn’t break it out fast enough on the first cool day of the season.  This same dress also comes in grey and can be worn a handful of different ways — with over-the-knee boots like I’m wearing above, with tights and ankle boots, and even over a pair of cropped denim if you’re feeling daring and want to get trendy.  I sized up to a US 6 in this dress to get a more oversized/slouchy fit, and added this ribbed turtleneck underneath for that effortless layered look.  A lot of you actually thought the turtleneck came with the dress when I posted this look a few weeks ago on Instagram — it really does add a nice touch to the outfit and makes the rose color pop even more.  I’ve also worn this same dress with a black version of the turtleneck and a pair of thick black tights and black suede ankle boots.  This dress also looks great alone with the sleeves pushed up!
