Friday Faves – June 8th, 2018

HAPPY FRIDAY babes!  Has this week been A WEEK for anyone else?!  It was one of those weeks that I would have preferred being over around MONDAY NIGHT and then just dragged on and on.  We’ve had some gorgeous weather this week though and we have a gorgeous forecast for the weekend and some fun plans with friends we haven’t seen in a while!  I’ve been doing these Friday Faves posts every couple of weeks, so I’m excited to share some new (and old) favorites with you… just a little peek into some things I’ve been loving lately!

THAT PALM PRINT ONE PIECE YOU ALL LOVED

Milly Wrap One Piece Swim

Palm Print One Piece c/o

I wore this one piece in The Bahamas and it immediately sold out — I know SO MANY of you splurged and purchased it.  It was one of the most shopped items from me for spring and I was SO HAPPY to see they restocked it in ALL SIZES!  It’s pricy — just to warn you — but SO worth it.  The material is amazing, the tie is adjustable (so you can tighten or loosen if needed), and it’s so comfortable!  I love the plunge neckline and open back.  Seriously one of my favorite suits I’ve ever worn, EVER.

MY NEW GO-TO SUMMER NAIL COLOR

Essie Sew Me

Essie “Sew Me” | Striped Top | Jeans | Slides

I’m a creature of habit and I’m usually stuck on a shade or two of nail polish per season.  I’m a huge fan of light pinks and nudes this time of year, so I went digging in my own nail polish collection and realized I hadn’t given this Essie shade much love.  It’s such a gorgeous color (in between a peach and nude).  Best part?  It’s virtually invisible if you get a chip… so I’ve been able to stretch my at-home manis a little longer!

MY CURRENT ROTATION OF SPF FOR MY FACE

Summer Face SPF

Supergoop “Unseen” SPF 40 | SkinCeuticals UV Defense SPF 50 | Perricone MD SPF 30

It’s that time of year where I stop F-ing around.  I usually TRY to wear SPF on my face year round, but that doesn’t always happen (especially since I work from home and there are days I know I won’t leave the house).  I’m like 75% good — but there are definitely days I skip this step.  In the summer, I wear SPF every single day, so here are my 3 favorites.  Supergoop is a newbie added to my rotation this year (it’s a fairly new product) and I absolutely LOVE how lightweight it is.  It’s perfect on its own or under makeup, you can barely feel it on.  My SkinCeuticals is a long-time favorite and this formula WORKS.  It’s on the heavier side and does feel like sunscreen, so I really only use this when I KNOW I’ll be in the sun.  Perricone MD has been in my rotation since last summer — I love wearing this one when I’m not planning to wear any makeup as it’s slightly tinted, and helps even out my skin tone when I’m going the no makeup route.

HOW TO HIDE WORKOUT HAIR

Free People Hair Scrunchie

Free People Hair Scrunchie | White Tee | Jeans

You guys caught me in one of my new tricks — hiding my workout hair.  I will do ANYTHING to stretch my blowout, so if it means throwing my hair up the last day or two, it’s happening.  I purchased a few of these scrunchies to help dress up those days and even did a quick tutorial on this hairstyle over on my IG stories — you can watch it there until tonight and then it will be on my highlights under HAIR!

(FINALLY) A NATURAL AF MATTE LIPSTICK

LAWLESS Makeout

LAWLESS Makeout Liquid Lipstick in Cameron, Jake, & George c/o

You gals KNOW I’m all about that liquid matte lipstick life, but seriously… when you look at ingredients, you might GAG.  LAWLESS is a newer natural makeup line that I had been really wanting to try so I was excited when their team reached out!  I chose a few pinky/nude colors and have been wearing them alone or layering them together!  I’m actually wearing a combo of Jake and George in the photo above with the hair scarf!  They also just launched foundation which will be next on my list to try!
