Happy Friday! I’m back with another GLAM Weekly for you — a roundup of some reader questions from this past week and a few sales worth mentioning this upcoming weekend!
We’re currently planning our honeymoon to Italy and any suggestions would be appreciated! Do you have any must-see stops or places you wish you spent more time in?
Our Italian itinerary was Milan (2 days), Lake Como (3 days), Venice (2 days), Florence (3 days) and Sorrento (4 days, with a day trip to Capri). Since it was our first time in Italy, we wanted to spend as much time there as possible (we did almost 3 weeks including the travel days), so we had the time to make the amount of stops we did. If I could have went and changed anything, I would have loved to spend one more day in Venice — I just loved everything about it and would have loved to have one more day to visit the island of Burano!
I slacked hard on posting our Italy trip here on Oh So Glam (I posted a ton of photos on Instagram) but can definitely still post our full itinerary and some travel guides if anyone is interested! Let me know in the comments below!
What kind of bag did you carry around Italy when sightseeing?
I brought a backpack out during the day (even though we had some people advise against it). When we were in crowded places, I wore it over one shoulder and held it under my arm in front of my body, then swung it back around when we were doing a lot of walking and away from people. We spent most days out exploring away from the hotels so it came in handy to carry around water bottles (essential since I drink water like a camel), sunscreen, portable chargers and other valuables we didn’t want to leave in the room. I loved using this Rebecca Minkoff backpack during both of my European trips last summer (Italy and Greece) — it was stylish and completely functional! It even had a few hidden pockets inside to keep passports/cash safe!
How tall are you?
I’m slightly under 5’5.
I’m planning a group dinner in West Hartford center for a few couples. What are your favorite restaurants?
Bricco and TREVA are always crowd pleasers and I have never had a bad meal at either! If you’re looking for more of a fun group setting, I love Besito (the best Mexican food and margs in town), or Vinted Wine Bar for small plates/apps (I wrote an entire post about Vinted here).
I loved those lace-up leggings you wore on your Instagram stories! Can you share the brand?
They are Fabletics, but very old (and unfortunately sold out). I found a few similar styles with the lace-up detailing for you!
