How to Style (Faux) Leather Pants 3 Ways

A couple months ago, I scooped up these $25 faux leather pants and you guys went CRAZY for them.  They are one of my favorite finds EVER and I’m so happy that so many of you have been able to snag them as well!  LET’S DISCUSS WHY I’M SO IN LOVE WITH THESE… shall we?!  I’m pretty particular about faux leather pants and if you have heard any of my Instagram Story rants before, you know that these were speaking right to me, because… they come with a WORKING BACK POCKET.  I’m all for faux leather leggings gals, but they HAVE to be styled right.  You know when you have a pet peeve that actually makes your skin crawl?!  THIS IS MINE.  😉  Without a back pocket, I should NOT be able to see that cute little tush of yours UNLESS YOU ARE WORKING OUT or you’re dressing up as SANDY FROM GREASE.  Tell me about it, STUD.  A pocket and zipper are GOLD to me and means they are ACTUAL pants.  I was asked by a few readers for suggestions and options to style them, so I wanted to throw together this post with some outfit ideas for fall/winter!

I also received a zillion questions on sizing since they are FINAL SALE.  The website says to size down, but I actually tried that and they were a little too snug for me.  I purchased this pair in my NORMAL HIGH WAISTED JEAN SIZE which is a size 25 for me.  I’ve worn these at least 15 times and find that they do not stretch out, so I would recommend keeping with your normal size.

COZY

Whether it’s an ugly sweater party, a fun house get-together, or you’re hanging out at the lodge sipping hot cocoa this winter, I LOOOVE a good fairisle sweater.  This is a cozy way to wear these pants that provides a lot of warmth and is still pretty damn festive!  These OTK boots are on major sale right now.  If you’ve ever wanted to splurge on these, do it while they are on sale!  It’ll make the PRESS ORDER button that much less painful and you’ll wear them for YEARS to come!

CASUAL

My personal favorite (and probably most worn) way to style these pants is with a casual top layered with a warm cardigan and booties.  I love the contrast between different textures and FLANNEL and (faux) LEATHER is one of my favorite combos!  If you’re new here and haven’t heard me RAVE about these flannels before, this is by far my go-to flannel brand.  Make sure to size up one size for a slouchy fit (flannels shouldn’t be skin tight or too fitted).  I size up to a medium in this brand!

DRESSED UP

I’m starting to plan for holiday parties and some version of this outfit is always a huge hit.  Another fun contrast for me is lace and leather.  I love pairing delicate, feminine tops with a hint of edge from the leather.  Keeping the same color family (but pairing different textures) can make a boring outfit POP.  This look could be layered with a fun (faux) fur jacket as well for when the temps really drop!

You look great in all looks. I would love to rock some leather pants but I’m always too nervous I’m not skinny enough for them. I should still give them a try though! Now I am got some great ideas from your post. Thanks for sharing these ideas. https://www.tsport.ca/
