Last week, I got the amazing opportunity to go on a little New England getaway with Hunter Boots! I grabbed my blogging BFF Marissa and we drove off to Rhode Island to check into the beyond gorgeous Weekapaug Inn — located just over the Connecticut border in Westerly, RI. I had SO MANY questions flooding through my DM’s about my outfits, the place we stayed, Hunter boot sizing, etc. so I wanted to put together a quick blog post outlining everything you should know!
It was a quick two days, but we packed SO much in and had the BEST time enjoying the outdoors while the temperatures were still bearable! I was so thankful that Hunter Boots hooked your sister UP with some outdoor gear — my non-GLAM (slash practical) wardrobe usually takes a hit in favor of fun, trendy pieces. Scroll through to see all of my outfits and links to where you can shop for these looks!

This was my favorite look from the trip and I can’t wait to repeat this look with some regular over-the-knee boots. I love a good sweater dress (make sure to check back tomorrow for some more favorites). I wore this look the first day for exploring the property after we checked in.

The Weekapaug Inn is one of the most stunning properties in our area — I should have known… Ocean House is their sister property and one of the most gorgeous hotels I’ve ever seen in person. I was so excited to get to stay and experience the hotel, restaurant, and amenities for a few days. Although I typically save Rhode Island trips for the summer sunshine, it was actually beyond gorgeous in the fall. It’s definitely an active hotel, with tons of activities each day to help keep you busy. Everything from walks on the beach, boat rides, bird watching, biking, yoga… it’s a nature lovers dream. My favorite part was their current partnership with Hunter Boots, where guests could borrow jackets and boots from the closet to take with them outdoors.
Marissa and I woke up bright and early one morning for a little breakfast (the coffee from Dave’s Coffee was beyond delicious) & then bundled up and headed out for a boat ride to see if we could spot some seals. We unfortunately didn’t get to see any (my animal loving heart was mildly broken, haha), but the views from the water of the surrounding area were some of the prettiest I can remember. There’s something about fall and the crisp air that just makes everything look so picturesque.

If you haven’t purchased a pair of Hunter Boots, I seriously cannot recommend them enough. I’ve actually had my black pair since 2009… that’s almost a DECADE friends, and they are still going strong. They are built to last and I was excited to add this red pair to my collection for a fun pop of color. For sizing, I typically wear a size 7, so I go with a size 7 (Hunters are only sold in full sizes). If you’re between sizes, they recommend sizing down. Also, make sure to try them on with a thick sock! For both jackets, I’m wearing a size XS.
