Packing for Greece

It’s HERE!  This trip honestly came up so fast – it’s actually kind of crazy!  I’m so excited to head to Greece this week and I’m giving you a little sneak peek at what’s currently packed in my suitcase for the next 10 days!  You gals might remember this gorgeous tie-front maxi dress from my spring trip to Charleston and I can’t wait to re-wear it with gorgeous Greece in the background!  There’s still a few sizes left – and it would be perfect to wear to any of those late summer weddings!  I’m also bringing along a few embroidered dresses like this white and blue midi from Parker and this off-the-shoulder style!  I’m bringing a few tried and true travel favorites from my recent Italy trip – these gladiator sandals are the perfect travel companion and so comfortable for walking around.  I’m also packing up my straw boater hat (my go-to this summer) and these gold wrap sandals (I wore the nude version of them in Italy).  I looooove this striped lightweight dress that has been perfect for the summer heat – the blue and white stripes are perfect for the Greek Isles!  I also grabbed this straw tote (currently on sale) that I packed flat in my suitcase – I can never travel without a beach tote but hate using a larger style as a carry-on!  This one is perfect for travel!

If any of you missed my post last week explaining why I’m heading off to Greece, don’t worry!  I’ll explain again right here for you!  Kristin and I are teaming up with Grabr, a global peer-to-peer delivery network. Sort of similar to Uber – but for international consumer goods!  Grabr’s connected community of Travelers and Shoppers around the world is designed to give anyone the access to goods from anywhere abroad. The platform gives Shoppers the chance to obtain consumer goods that are generally inconvenient or difficult to find online, goods that have high price differentiators between geographic markets, or located in unique, specified locations.

Kristin and I will be heading to a few beautiful Greek Islands – Santorini, Naxos, and Mykonos to be exact – in search of the best fashion to bring back to you!  If you have always wanted a pair of custom Greek gladiator sandals – we’ll bring them back for you!  Seriously!  You can order using the links below and we’ll handle everything else including placing the order, picking up and shipping back to you.

CRISS COSS     TWO-STRAP     LACE-UP

There have been some questions, so here’s a NOTE on HOW TO PLACE YOUR ORDERS:

1. Click ‘Request This Item’
2. Fill Out ‘Create Order’ page:
Enter city of YOUR shipping address
Enter ‘From’ Greece {where we will get the sandals}
Choose Delivery Date Preference {we will be shipping August 4}
4. Set Traveler’s Reward {this is the reward amount you offer your Traveler — that’s me! — for bringing you this item from abroad. Essentially your ‘shipping cost’}
5. Click ‘next’ and the site will prompt you to create your Grabr Account
6. Order Summary – here, in ‘Optional Comments,’ is where you will include your sandal size and whether you would like them Plain or Embellished

Then, your order is created + yours truly will go in and make you an offer!  Once I make you an offer, you have to accept, and that is when you will pay for the item. Here is the link to add your Payment Info, when you are logged in, in case you can’t find it.

Make sure to follow along with us for the next week on Instagram and Snapchat!

    Hello from Greece!
    Your packing list is perfect (love the off-shoulder dress!) but if I were you, I’d avoid wearing wedges in Santorini as it is impossible to walk on the foot path from Fira to Oia without twisting your leg. Greek islands are amazing, hope you and Kristin have a great time. I’d love to give you some recomendations in case you want me to.

        So happy that you do! So here we go. In Santorini other than watching the sunset from Oia (a must), walk the path for Fira to Oia (the view is breathtaking), plan a winery tour (Santos Wines, Sigalas Estate etc.), visit the archeological site at Akrotiri or/and book a boat tour. As it comes to food, Santorini offers some of the best restaurants in Greece, to name a few Selene, Koukoumavlos, Red Bicycle, 1800. For traditional Greek Cuisine and fresh fish go to Kira Katina or Dimitris at Ammoudi. All the beaches in Santorini are on the opposite side of the Caldera: Red Beach, White Beach, Black Beach (Kamari).
        In Naxos, walk inside the Castle area. You will find some beautiful, tiny antique stores with great collections – make sure to visit the Castle Museum for a look how life was back in the 1800’s. The best beach of the island are Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna and Agios Georgios in Chora. For food try Lefteris at Apiranthos, Meze-Meze at Plaka and Axiotissa at Kastraki.
        I don’t know much about Mykonos, as I never been there but from what I know Psarou beach is very popular and some of the most famous restaurants are Kiki’s at Agios Sostis and Konstantis at Ornos.

        Hope you have a great time in Greece!

    I’m trying to create an order for the lace-up sandals but my city isn’t an included one. Can we only use this app if we live in a big city?

      Hi Jillian! To initiate the order, just enter your state in that field and then your full address (and sizing info) in the additional comments section! Sorry for the confusion!
