Please excuse the makeup-free mug.  I’m usually all done-up for my blog photo shoots and rarely take a photo with any makeup… or at least have the decency to throw on a pair of large sunglasses for you.  But this is me IRL and we had about a 15 minute span to take these photos in our front yard after two hours of shoveling this weekend!  The storm that hit Saturday was supposed to be “just a dusting” in Connecticut, however, we were hit with at least 8 inches of wet, heavy snow that required legitimate digging out!  Shouldn’t we all learn by now?!  A predicted dusting always means a storm and a big fat storm warning ahead of time usually turns into just an inch of snow.

Welcome to winter in CT.  A time when no one knows what the actual F is going on.

At least our front lawn looks pretty, right?!  We like to use this time when the snow is fresh to take as many photos as close to home as humanly possible.  A time before the snow mixes with dirt and salt and becomes so gross, I wouldn’t dare show it to you.  To help make the winter a little more bearable this year, I added this gorgeous blush puffer coat to my every growing collection!  I searched all over and found it on major sale for you for only $172 with code GIFT!  It also comes in black which looks just like my black puffer coat that I’ve worn on the blog a ton over the last few years!  Another winter essential I wear every year here?  These Sorel snow boots that are 1000% worth the investment – I wore them the last few years here and here!  One more cozy item of note – my turtleneck sweater is on sale for just $35 and is the perfect layering piece!  You still have time to add these to your holiday wishlists and ship in time for Christmas!
