boohoo Scallop Midi Dress c/o
Steve Madden Fringe Sandals

This weekend was spent at the gorgeous Sagamore Resort on Lake George in upstate New York for my best friend’s wedding weekend. I wore this scalloped midi dress to the rehearsal dinner the night before — which overlooked one of the most beautiful and serene views I’ve ever seen.
I picked out this dress about a month ago and was saving it for this night! It’s hard to believe it’s under $55 — the fabric is so thick and there are so many details! It also comes in white (for all you brides-to-be) and hot pink, perfect for the upcoming warm weather or wedding season. I had a lot of questions on sizing of this dress already, and while I normally go up a size in anything boohoo, I think this runs a tiny bit big. I’m wearing size UK8 and I could probably be comfortable in a UK6 – it was just a little loose in the bust area and I’m going to get it taken in. While I’m normally not a midi-length girl (I think it makes me look short), I loved how this dress balances out the longer hemline with the cutout and scalloped edges!
I paired this LBD with my go-to dressier accessories – these fringe sandals that I can’t stop wearing and my favorite leopard clutch.
Oh, and yes that is a fake tan, I didn’t magically just get this glow. I’ve been loving this self-tanner mousse which dries super quick and gives a nice bronze color — I usually struggle with finding a self tanner that doesn’t make me look yellow or green (damn, olive skin) – so this one is a new favorite that I will definitely be keeping around this summer!
