One of the most popular questions I get during spring and summer is for suggestions on what to wear for wedding season!  I guess it’s pretty obvious that my weekends are usually filled with weddings, rehearsal dinners, and bridal showers – and have been the last few years!  That’s what happens when you and all your friends get married within a few years of each other — so I’ve become somewhat of a professional special occasion dresser!  I love wedding season, but it’s always so much pressure to find something to wear to every event and I understand that it can be totally overwhelming and costly.

Did you guys know that David’s Bridal has a great selection of dresses that aren’t just for the bride and the wedding party?!  I was so excited to see that one of my all-time favorite designers, Cynthia Rowley, teamed up with David’s Bridal earlier this year and launched an exclusive collection Cheers Cynthia Rowley for both wedding dresses and special occasion dresses!  I’m wearing one of her exclusive sets here and picked out a few other contenders for some upcoming events this summer!  I am a known sucker for anything with feathers (or fringe) and have recently been gravitating towards two-piece sets for weddings — you end up with two great pieces that you can mix and match!

I absolutely love when designers team up with retailers for exclusive collections — they take trends right from the runway and allow all of us to wear them in more relatable styles.  Zac Posen also launched a collection with David’s Bridal and had me gushing over this strapless floral number when I saw it all over Pinterest.

While sundresses are typically the go-to for summer weddings, we’ve been finding ourselves invited to more formal affairs over the last year — and that seems to be the hardest to shop for without spending a fortune on something you’ll probably wear once (or a few times if you’re lucky and get to be fancy often).  I had my eye on this gorgeous strapless tulle gown — perfect for a New Year’s Eve wedding we have this year!
