Happy Wednesday, friends!  If you followed along on my Instagram Story over the last 24 hours — you may have seen this beautiful destination that my mom and I went to yesterday!  We’re all about those girl’s day trips and try to take them as frequently as possible — the Wicked Tulips Flower Farm in Johnston, Rhode Island had been on our list since there was still snow on the ground!  We love day tripping to scenic farms (you can see our time at the pumpkin farm and the tree farm from last year), and wanted to add an annual spring day trip to the mix!  I had been following Wicked Tulips on Instagram and was checking daily to see when they would finally open up the flower fields to the public!  Just a heads up, you do need to purchase tickets in advance if you want to visit — and the weekend tickets sell out FAST.  I swear, I went to buy tickets almost immediately after seeing they opened and the Friday/Saturday/Sunday tickets were gone.  I can definitely see why — you literally get the pick of the litter the earlier you go!  We decided to head there mid-week instead and got to pick our own tulips and make our own beautiful bouquets — you can see we went with a blush and pink theme below.  If you’re in New England, I would definitely recommend making a day trip here if you love flowers as much as we do!  There’s probably only a week or so left — so act fast, or make a mental note for next spring!

Raj was actually gone on a business trip for part of the weekend, so I went shopping at the mall for the first time in about 6 months — I blame him for any unnecessary purchases!  I stopped into the mall to pick up a few last minute dresses for my upcoming weekend trip to visit Kristin in Charleston and stumbled upon this one at Express, definitely a leftover from festival season.  It was on sale for 30% off and I knew I needed it, and clearly couldn’t wait until my trip to wear it!  I already know how I’ll be styling it in Charleston this weekend — these studded heels will make a nice contrast to the floral print!  Since we had an early morning yesterday (we drove to get there right when the doors opened at 10am), there was still a bit of a chill in the air, and it was damp from the rain we had over the last two days.  I was so thankful I packed up my denim jacket and even more thankful that my mom thoroughly read their website which CLEARLY tells you to wear some sort of outdoor boot to the farm… seriously, what would we do without moms?!  I threw in my Hunter Boots at the last minute (I was just going to wear a pair of ankle boots like a dumb dumb), and was convinced my mom was a saint the first second we stepped out of the car into the muddy parking lot.  These boots are not for show, people!

It’s been a little slower than usual here on Oh So Glam over the last few weeks while we continue to fine-tune some tweaks to the blog layout!  I have some fun content to share over the next few weeks that’s already in the works — including a post about what to wear this season to a spring/summer wedding, the best spring/summer shoe trends, my favorite sunglasses (a reader request), and will be sharing all about my Charleston trip soon!
