Getting a little edgy here on Oh So Glam today — I typically love to hold these types of outfits for NYFW (which I just maaaay be repeating in a few weeks), but couldn’t resist giving you a little sneak peek.  When it’s this cold outside, you have to get a little creative and there comes a point (ahem, 25 degrees) where ripped denim just stops being practical.  I’ve been layering these fishnet tights underneath denim for the last few weeks and LOVE it.  This look is perfect for a night out during the winter months and a great way to still get use out of your summer denim — or even to add an extra layer of warmth under any pants this season.  It even allows me to wear flats or sneakers (anything that shows the ankle) without a pair of socks giving the outfit a buzz-kill.

Speaking of sneakers, I’ve upgraded my adidas from last year and gave them a little lift — I’m talking platforms, girls!  I can’t help but think of the Spice Girls every time I wear these platform sneakers and it’s definitely one of my favorite trends from the 90’s that made a return over the last year.  These sneakers are leather and super soft (essential, since they are a bit on the heavy side) and also come in a few other colors (including blush which I also have on my wishlist).  For the summer months, you can find a bunch of espadrille styles — I have this pair of mesh sneakers in white that you saw featured HERE!  If you love that style but hate the price tag, there’s a really amazing dupe for under $60, and a mesh version of the sneakers I’m wearing for under $150!
