What to Wear: New Year’s Eve

It’s hard to believe, but we are 4 days away from one of the biggest party nights of the year!  If you’re still on the hunt for the perfect NYE dress, you’ve come to the right place!  In my opinion, New Year’s Eve is one of those nights to go big or go home.  It’s really one of the only acceptable times to wear something fancy that you wouldn’t normally otherwise any other time of the year.  I am constantly turning to a little black dress for all events, but for NYE, I am ALL ABOUT mixing it up and adding in some textures.  I’ve cleverly snuck in my NYE dress selection in the below… can you guess which one I will be rocking?

What will you be wearing this NYE? Tell me in a comment below! And as always, happy shopping!

Bringing Neon Back

{Forever 21 leather jacket (similar), Blouse c/o T.J. Maxx (similar), 7 for all Mankind jeans, Pumps & bag c/o ShoeMint (both on sale!), Ray Ban sunnies, Michael Kors watch, Bracelets: c/o JewelMint, c/o Stella & Dot, c/o Poshlocket, ASOS, Rings: c/o delia langan, c/o Amarilo}

I first wore these neon pumps back in the summer when my wardrobe was full of color. I got sick of passing them over each time I went into my closet, so I broke them out while singing to myself, “I’m bringing neon back!” For all you risk takers that purchased anything neon over the spring and summer, don’t you even worry… the trend isn’t going anywhere! Go ahead and rep the ’80′s all you want!

Happy Monday loves!

Fur Collar Peacoat

{Peacoat c/o Karen Kane, Free People faux-leather shorts, Express tights, Brian Atwood booties, Elizabeth & James sunnies, Tory Burch satchel, Necklace c/o Gosia Meyer, Rings: David Yurman, c/o delia langan, c/o Amarilo}

I wore this outfit out to dinner/drinks for date night with Raj last weekend. I threw on these faux-leather shorts with black tights to get me out of my jeans rut and paired it with a long-sleeved sheer blouse (which I wasn’t brave enough to show because of the frigid cold temps)! I’m totally loving this gorgeous Karen Kane coat, and the pop of fur on the collar against the tweed makes it really unique!

I’m back to realizing just how hard style blogging is in the winter time… since it gets dark at 3pm in Connecticut, this outfit was really shot the next day (fun little fact). Spring, can you hurry up and get here?!
