Touch of Turquoise

{Jacket: BB Dakota || Blouse: c/o Ali & Kris || Jeans: Free People (old, similar here) || Bag: Marc Jacobs || Necklace: Anthropologie (sold out, similar here) || Bracelets: c/o BFREND, c/o ILYCouture || Rings: David Yurman, c/o delia langan, c/o Amarilo}This entire outfit is a “remixed wardrobe” outfit, meaning, I’ve featured all items I’m wearing on the blog before! My favorite cognac jacket has made the blog several times including one of my favorite early Fall posts and one of my recent casual looks. I paired this Ali & Kris blouse with leather leggings in a throwback 2011 outfit post and with a pair of bootcut jeans last winter. These flared jeans made their first blog appearance back in the Fall with an oxblood floppy hat and one of my favorite H&M blouses. I bought this turquoise necklace from Anthropologie last summer after finally spotting it on sale (and months of drooling over it)! I love the pop of color it can bring to an outfit without making the look too dressy! See how I styled it last summer and during my September trip to NYFW! And this Marc Jacobs hobo bag has been mine for over 3 years with no sign of going out of style anytime soon! I love it’s versatility and the color is season-less, I’ve dressed it up, dressed it down, and have worn it in every season: Spring / Summer / Fall / Winter. It’s been such a great investment!
What a nice little trip down memory lane! Thank you for all your support over the last year and a half! <3
Fur Collar Peacoat

{Peacoat c/o Karen Kane, Free People faux-leather shorts, Express tights, Brian Atwood booties, Elizabeth & James sunnies, Tory Burch satchel, Necklace c/o Gosia Meyer, Rings: David Yurman, c/o delia langan, c/o Amarilo}I wore this outfit out to dinner/drinks for date night with Raj last weekend. I threw on these faux-leather shorts with black tights to get me out of my jeans rut and paired it with a long-sleeved sheer blouse (which I wasn’t brave enough to show because of the frigid cold temps)! I’m totally loving this gorgeous Karen Kane coat, and the pop of fur on the collar against the tweed makes it really unique!
I’m back to realizing just how hard style blogging is in the winter time… since it gets dark at 3pm in Connecticut, this outfit was really shot the next day (fun little fact). Spring, can you hurry up and get here?!
Flared

Jeans are one of my wardrobe staples, that’s for sure! Skinny jeans have definitely been my go-to for the last six or so years, with me branching out into all shades of colored jeans since early spring. The flare silhouette is back-in-action this season as well and I have been loving it. Rachel Zoe totally comes to mind when you think of someone who has been on the bell-bottom bandwagon for ages, and with the right pieces, I think it works!
Are you already wearing the flare trend? Tell me your thoughts!
