I was so thrilled when Banana Republic sent me this adorable bright yellow skirt to style! I had been receiving many requests from my readers to do a few outfit posts that would be work appropriate. Since I’m one of the few blessed with the ability to wear jeans to work, this skirt was the perfect way to help me showcase a spring work look! I love yellow paired with cognac accessories, which I happen to have a TON of. This skirt will definitely be making my “remixed wardrobe” looks because of its versatility! I’m thinking of pairing it with a white tank and denim jacket next, so keep a lookout!
One Last Thing.
I have been rather preoccupied so you’ll have to excuse my lack of posts last week. First strep throat and THEN…
Raj and I decided to get a Himalayan kitten for our 5 year anniversary, which is this Friday! It’s been months of searching and then waiting for her arrival, but we love her already! Her name is Mischa (hold the Barton) and she turned 2 months old on April 18th. Make sure to follow me on Instagram for more Mischa pics, I’ve been posting this cutie like crazy! @christinadefilippo

Lauren Conrad Style Challenge
A couple of weeks ago, I was told I made it into the top three of the Lauren Conrad & Kohl’s blogger contest and I couldn’t have been more excited! For the style challenges, the bloggers were all sent the same nine pieces of clothing from the LC Lauren Conrad Collection, and asked to shoot 2 different outfits using 3 of the pieces (and pieces from your own wardrobe). I immediately went into mode “CRAZY” trying to pair outfits together! To say our bedroom looked like a tornado went through it would be an understatement. After much deliberation (and help from the wonderful BF) I decided on the hi-low skirt, the floral tank top, and the brown platform sandals.
For the first look, we needed to use the 3 pieces selected to create a look for a “day of sightseeing.” I used my favorite jean jacket to help make the look more casual and comfortable for a day outside. These sandals are actually extremely comfortable, despite being quite high, and I love the color! They go with basically everything in my closet!
For my second look, we were to create another outfit for a “romantic dinner date.” The trick being… we needed to use the SAME THREE PIECES of clothing used in the first look.
