Blazers are already such a staple in my closet, they are the perfect piece that can easily take you from day to night. They dress up a casual outfit and are perfect to keep with you for chilly nights! The floral prints this year are super fun, and what says warm weather more than flowers?! It’s been fun to come up with new ways to style this blazer I got from T.J. Maxx for under $20! I love pairing it with unexpected pieces like this leopard belt and have also thrown it over a striped tee! It will definitely get its use in my closet!

So, it just hit me that another NYFW trip is right around the corner! I can’t wait to be reunited in NYC with my favorite bloggers… it’s been a long five months apart! Although I won’t be attending the IFB conference this time around, there are still plenty of fun events, parties, and shows on the agenda! Let the outfit planning commence!

Military Dots
I love Pinterest and Instagram so much because it allows personal style to be so accessible. Hundreds of “outfit of the day” images keep my feeds fashionable and my mind rolling. I was looking for a way to give this tired old polka dot sweater that I had worn to work so many times a fresh new look… a quick search on Pinterest and there you go! A military vest! Brilliant! The sad news was that I wasn’t able to find the originator of the outfit due to someone stealing the image and pasting it on their Tumblr account (hate that, biggest pet peeve ever). Don’t worry, this story has a happy ending! I posted this look to my Instagram (making sure to point out that Pinterest helped create the top half of my outfit) and FOUND HER! She had already been following me and let me know that it was her picture that I saw on Pinterest! What a small, amazing, stylish world! Ladies, I present to you… @MISSEMDAY! I am a huge advocate of giving credit where it’s due. Follow her and love her, she has lots of good OOTD shots (and should totally have a blog)! PEER PRESSURE!
