5 A Glam Engagement

Married to Style

I couldn’t be more excited to team up with my friends at Bluefly for the launch of their new Wedding Boutique!  As you all know, Bluefly is one of my favorite destinations for designer goodies and they have been so good to this blog over the last year!  Since I’m a bride-to-be myself and Bluefly just happens to have one of the best selections of designer little white dresses for all events leading up to the big day, we decided to show off our favorite styles with some head-to-toe looks!

Engagement Party Outfit Idea Engagement Party Outfit IdeaDress: A.B.S Allen Schwartz || Heels: Schutz
c/o Bluefly

I am such a huge fan of A.B.S Allen Schwartz so it was only natural that I would gravitate towards this dress.  I’m always very cautious of coming off too “girlie” so I love that this lace dress has a hint of leather detailing to help edge it out a bit.  I added a pair of stappy Schutz heels (another brand favorite) and my own vintage Chanel bag.  This dress is the perfect little white dress to take into nighttime!

Dress: Jill Stewart || Sandals: Valentino || Bag: Fendi
c/o Bluefly

My bridal shower is fast approaching and I love this Jill Stewart lace number!  The tiny belt around the waist is very reminiscent of my real wedding gown (hint, hint) and I love that the longer hemline hits below the knee.  If you follow this blog regularly, you know how much of a fan I am of Valentino and these rockstud sandals are no exception!  To finish the look, I added a needed pop of color with this Fendi 2Jours bag!

Raj and I are having a very casual, backyard-feel type of Rehearsal Dinner with our friends and family the night before our wedding.  I love that this Rebecca Taylor dress is kind of like a blank canvas, letting you dress up the look or dress it down depending on your accessories.  And Rachel Zoe can do no wrong in my book.  These heels have been a favorite of mine for months and these tassel earrings?  LOVE!

c/o Bluefly

After this insanely long winter (did it feel longer for anyone else), we’ve decided to stay local this summer for a little “mini moon” and visit one of our favorite New England places (Nantucket and Newport are in the running).  We’re saving our bigger trip for next winter, so that we’re gone when it’s actually awful outside.  This little white romper will be getting a ton of use this summer and so will these studded Prada sandals.  I always travel with my Longchamp tote bags, whether it’s a weekend trip away or a long flight (they are the perfect carry-on size).

I will admit, it’s been a whirlwind engagement (planning a wedding in 7 months will do that to you), but it all of a sudden hit me after working on this project!  Make sure to check out Bluefly whether you’re the bride-t0-be or just attending a wedding as a guest this summer!  You can shop all of my designer picks at Bluefly for wedding season here!

    You know what’s wild?

How we can cook three meals, clean the kitchen a hundred times, fold laundry, wipe noses, break up fights, read the same book four times, order and unload groceries, squeeze in emails during nap time… and still crawl into bed at night thinking we did absolutely nothing today.

This winter has humbled me.

Between the constant sickness, snow days, and limited childcare, my “new year, new goals” energy from January feels like it belonged to a completely different person.

And yet. Look at what we actually do in a single day.

It’s not going to show up on a vision board. It’s not always pretty or photogenic. But it’s real. It’s hard. And it’s what keeps an entire household from falling apart.

If you’ve been feeling behind, unproductive, or like you just can’t get it together this season, I promise you’re not failing. You’re carrying more than most people will ever see or understand.

Showing up for the little things? That’s not nothing. That’s everything.

Tell me I’m not the only one crawling into bed feeling this way. 👇

I love a designer moment as much as anyone, but I also love finding pieces that give the same energy without the four-figure price tag. When I saw these, I immediately thought of the iconic pair everyone’s been wearing… and then I saw the price and added to cart.

They’re the perfect neutral. Not stark white. Not chunky. Just clean, classic, and easy. I’ve already worn them with straight jeans, and I’ll be pairing them with shorts and simple dresses once it warms up.

Quick sizing note: they run about a half size snug, so I went up half a size from my usual sneaker size.

If you want the exact pair, comment SNEAKERS and I’ll send you the link 🤍

Lately I’ve been realizing how much of the baby years were about getting through the day, and how different it feels once that phase starts to lift.

Having a little more space has made me more intentional. Not about doing more, but about doing things differently. Paying attention to what actually helps. Letting go of how I think things should look. Being honest about what my body, time, and energy can handle in this season.

None of this happened overnight, and it’s still very much a work in progress. But these are the things that are genuinely helping me feel more like myself again, slowly and realistically.

We talk about this kind of stuff a lot on my podcast, @prettyinpinkagain which I co-host with one of my best friends. The in-between seasons, identity shifts, motherhood, and figuring it out as we go.

If this feels like the phase you’re in too, you’re not alone!

Some days it’s meetings, filming, or pretending I have my life together at happy hour.
Some days it’s workout mode. Some days it’s date night.
Most days it’s somewhere in between.

I used to think I needed a totally different wardrobe for every version of my life.
Turns out… you just need pieces that actually work for how you really live.

These are 7 outfits I actually wore this week - not staged, not “aspirational,” just real life.

Some brands just grow with you.

I wanted an everyday bag that actually fits my life right now. One I can wear year-round, throw in the car, take everywhere, and not think twice about using. Classic, neutral, durable, and still really beautiful.

This one surprised me in the best way. The quality, the feel, the versatility, and the price point for what you’re getting just make sense. It works with everything in my closet and feels like one of those pieces I’ll reach for over and over again.

If you’re in a phase of wanting things that feel elevated but still work for real life, this is a good one.
