My mom and I snapped these photos on the Connecticut shoreline in search for a lobster roll over the weekend – “search” being an important word here. Let me tell you a funny story. I packed up and headed over to my parent’s house for the night and it seemed my entire family was craving seafood! We drove about 20 minutes to a cute little spot right on the beach with outdoor dining – drove another 10 looking for parking at this place, snapped these pictures across the street at the beach, and headed to the restaurant only to find out it closed at 7PM… yeah, as in, 30 minutes ago. We’re still just as confused as you. So, we packed up and drove around for another 45 minutes calling every place we could think of to get that damn lobster roll… somewhere that was still open on a Saturday night and didn’t have a 2 hour wait. We finally found one open that could take all four of us, sat down quickly, ordered 3 lobster rolls and a fish sandwich for me. After all that, I was that weirdo who ordered the fish sandwich and I’m still regretting it 5 days later. Lesson learned. Always order the lobster roll. Always. Back to the fashion…
I love anything embroidered and this black and white top looks good with just about anything – such a win in my book.
I’m also still loving the platform espadrille trend and pulled back out these that I wore a ton this spring. Although they may look a little intimidating, this pair is actually extremely comfortable and lightweight – so they’re a lot easier to walk in than they look!
