Lately I’ve been realizing how much of the baby years were about getting through the day, and how different it feels once that phase starts to lift.

Having a little more space has made me more intentional. Not about doing more, but about doing things differently. Paying attention to what actually helps. Letting go of how I think things should look. Being honest about what my body, time, and energy can handle in this season.

None of this happened overnight, and it’s still very much a work in progress. But these are the things that are genuinely helping me feel more like myself again, slowly and realistically.

We talk about this kind of stuff a lot on my podcast, @prettyinpinkagain which I co-host with one of my best friends. The in-between seasons, identity shifts, motherhood, and figuring it out as we go.

If this feels like the phase you’re in too, you’re not alone!

Some days it’s school drop off in sweats and sneakers.
Some days it’s meetings, filming, or pretending I have my life together at happy hour.
Some days it’s workout mode. Some days it’s date night.
Most days it’s somewhere in between.

I used to think I needed a totally different wardrobe for every version of my life.
Turns out… you just need pieces that actually work for how you really live.

These are 7 outfits I actually wore this week - not staged, not “aspirational,” just real life.

Some brands just grow with you.

I wanted an everyday bag that actually fits my life right now. One I can wear year-round, throw in the car, take everywhere, and not think twice about using. Classic, neutral, durable, and still really beautiful.

This one surprised me in the best way. The quality, the feel, the versatility, and the price point for what you’re getting just make sense. It works with everything in my closet and feels like one of those pieces I’ll reach for over and over again.

If you’re in a phase of wanting things that feel elevated but still work for real life, this is a good one.

Rebuilding my wardrobe one staple at a time, and this @aritzia haul is a good example of how I’ve been shopping lately.

If your closet feels off or you’re trying to build a capsule wardrobe, this is one of my favorite places to start. Their viral wide-leg pants are famous for a reason, and I love how easy it is to mix and match everything. Neutral, lightweight pieces that work for everyday life and actually get worn.

I already own several of these styles and just keep adding a few at a time because the quality is there and the pieces all work together.

If you’re in a reset-your-wardrobe era, this is a great place to look.

I wasn’t sad, I just needed:
✨ a date night
✨ a reason to get dressed up
✨ a drink in a real glass
✨ a show
✨ and a night that wasn’t about bedtime routines

10/10 recommend the @dancingwiththestars tour for a fun night out.

Proof that a night out fixes a lot.

I love finding swim that feels feminine and flattering but still works for real life trips with kids. These one-pieces from @beach2oceanswim have all the pretty details (ruching, florals, adjustable straps) with coverage that actually feels comfortable and secure.

All of these can be shopped on my LTK (link in bio for easy access), and I shared sizing and fit details there too. Comment SWIM and I’ll send you the links!

They say “just wake up before your kids.” I did. They still found me.

I saw that Catherine O’Hara passed away today after I had this in the drafts and I wasn’t going to share but also wanted to celebrate her life’s work. What an absolute icon.

A year after having two under two, I kept telling myself this was just what motherhood felt like.

But I was snapping all the time.
I still wasn’t sleeping even though my kids were.
I felt wired but tired.
Like I was running on fumes no matter what I did.
Foggy. Shaky. Anxious for days, then crashing for days.
My appetite was all over the place.
And I just didn’t feel like myself.

Deep down, I knew something in my body wasn’t right.

I tried all the things.
Cutting coffee. Cutting alcohol.
Therapy. Movement. Eating better. Sleeping more.
CBD. Antidepressants. More protein.
Some of it helped a little.
Some of it made things worse.
All I knew was that I still wasn’t me.

That’s what led me to stop guessing.

I started working with a functional medicine doctor, @dr.cait at @holistichealthcode, and we ran tests for hormones, stress, nutrients, and gut health together instead of in pieces.

What we found matched exactly how I was feeling.
And that validation changed everything.

Finally, I had a plan.
Targeted supplements.
Supporting my hormones.
Working on gut health.
Actually addressing what was happening instead of just coping.

This is part of my “Not Just Surviving Motherhood” chapter.
I don’t just want to get through these years.
I want to feel good in them.

If this resonates, I’ll share more about what I’m learning as I go.
