Hi, I’m Christina, a 26-year-old marketing pro living in Connecticut with my boyfriend Raja and our Himalayan cat, Mischa. I created Oh So Glam, LLC as my corner of the internet where I can express my love and my take on fashion; as a way to keep all of my fashion concepts organized, and as a fashion diary of sorts. I write about garments, outfits and give fashion tips, and hopefully I inspire some others. Be sure to read and become a part of it!
Why Did I Start Blogging?
I decided to start Oh So Glam as a creative outlet in September 2011 after Raja accepted a 6-month job rotation in northern New Jersey. Luckily for me, I am blessed with a job where I can work from home… but being cooped up in a hotel room working all day just wasn’t cutting it for me. I needed a new challenge and a way to get me out and about. I have always been such a huge fan of fashion blogs and street style in general and thought, “WHY NOT?? I can totally do this too!” And I never looked back. This little hobby is a wonderful combination of a lot of what I love most: style, photography, social media, and above all, writing.
What is My Personal Style?
My style is something that is constantly changing and I’ve never really defined myself as having ONE certain style. It depends on how I am feeling that day. I love this quote from Jessica Alba, ”I’m all about the fantasy aspect of fashion. Some days I feel more tomboy, some days I feel more feminine, some days like a warrior.” One thing that never changes? I love to add a pop of GLAM to every outfit.
What Have Been My Favorite Fashion Moments?
This style blog has opened up a ton of doors for me, and I couldn’t be more thankful! In March of 2012 (just six months into blogging), I found out I was in the Top 5 of Lauren Conrad’s Blogger Contest with Kohl’s. After many rounds of voting and styling competitions, I placed 3rd! It was such a fun experience and something to be really proud of. This recognition led to collaborations with Banana Republic, ShoeMint, JewelMint, Poshlocket, and Jose Eber Hair to name a few! I also attended my first New York Fashion Week in September 2012 and met other style and beauty bloggers from all over the country who share the same passion as me (some of who I’ve followed for years).
Who Takes Your Photos?
Most of my photos are taken by my boyfriend Raja on our Canon Rebel T1i. We use a 50mm lens for almost all of my outfit posts which is a perfect lens for portraits (it helps to blur the background). Please send any photo inquiries to christina@ohsoglam.com.
