Everyday Glam: Makeup

I’m back with the second installment of Everyday Glam!  If you missed my last one on skincare, make sure to check it out!  Being a blogger is great for a number of reasons and one of my favorites is getting to try a lot of the different beauty products out there when attending events and showrooms!  These products stood the test of time and stole my heart… and now I use them on a regular basis!

{face} – I have been a bareMinerals fan since the stuff was on an infomercial back in the day and my love for the brand has only grown over the years.  On a daily basis, I love the READY Foundation (with SPF 20) and Precision Face Brush.  It gives the perfect amount of coverage for everyday!  For a more formal affair (like a night out or for blog photos) I try to step it up a notch.  I start with Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and then use Urban Decay Naked Skin (in shade 4.0) for full coverage.  This is hands down my favorite foundation… and if it wasn’t for wanting my skin to breathe, I would SLEEP in this stuff.  It’s THAT good.  My favorite bronzer has been Tarte in Hotel Heiress for years.  I use my Sephora All Over Face Brush for cooler months and a more compact bronzer brush in the summer.  One of my new favorites is Flower’s Chubby Cheek & Lip cream blush.  This is Drew Barrymore’s makeup line which is available at Wal*Mart… best bargain ever!  I have it in three shades!

{eyes} – I recently fell in love with this bareMinerals eye palette which I received during NYFW.  I use all four colors, adding a bit more for a dramatic look.  For eyeliner, I love eyeko London (Alexa Chung is a HUGE fan and even designed a limited edition set).  For a more natural look and when lining under my eyes, I swear by bareMinerals lasting line in charcoal.  For lashes, Benefit’s They’re Real has my heart!  I really don’t think there’s a better mascara out there!  And speaking of Benefit, I use their gimme BROW gel filler for extra definition and Watt’s Up highlighter on my cheeks and brow bone and on the bridge of my nose.

{lips} – I am ALL about lip color and it’s where I experiment MOST with makeup.  I am not afraid of a bold lip and only have ONE nude color.  My go-to shades change by season but since we’re finally in Spring, reds, pinks and corals have my heart.  Urban Decay’s BANG is my current favorite (I wore this orange color in Cabo and Vegas).  JILTED is a fun berry color and usually the shade I gravitate towards during the day.  And then there’s red.  When I’m feeling red, it HAS to be Stila’s Beso.  There is just no other way around it!
