Fair Fun

{H&M shirt and dress, Steve Madden sandals, Rebecca Minkoff bag, Ray Ban sunglasses, Left hand: Michael Kors watch, Stella & Dot bracelet c/o, JewelMint bracelet c/o, Right hand: JewelMint ring c/o, Forever 21 bracelets, Necklace & Rings c/o delia langan jewelry}

We had a huge outdoor fair for the city we live in this weekend… Celebrate West Hartford! It was a good excuse to eat my face off and then walk around the center and shop! I’ll go just about anywhere if it includes food and live music, so this was right up my alley! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well!

Highs and Lows

{Blouse c/o Ali & Kris, B.P. skirt (via Nordstrom), Zara sandals, Ran Ban sunnies, Tory Burch clutch & earrings, BaubleBar Monogram Necklace, Michael Kors watch & bangle, Alex & Ani bangles, Rings c/o delia langan jewelry}

The high-low hemline is one of my favorite trends of the season! I’ve been a big fan of high-low skirts and dresses all year, but the blouse is a fresh alternative! It’s flowy and super comfortable for the hot summer heat. It looks great with both skinny jeans and mini-skirts… just make sure the bottom piece is tailored to avoid looking like you’re wearing a parachute.

Are you hooked on the high-low trend?

Oh So Colorful?

{Urban Outfitters top, H&M pants, Steve Madden heels, J. Crew necklace, Clutch c/o Blair Ritchey, Ray Ban sunnies, Michael Kors watch, Bracelets: Michael Kors, Nordstrom, c/o Stella & Dot, c/o JewelMint, Charming Charlie, David Yurman ring}

Outdoor lighting gets me every time.  When I walked out the door with this outfit on, I took one look in the mirror and thought… holy colors!  The orange, pink, and shades of green were vibrant and frankly, I looked like I was going to celebrate Carnival.  My lipstick was a shade of HOT PINK, like dance recital back when I was 8, PINK.  But my photos just don’t show it.  Finding outfits and makeup that photograph well is one of the trickier parts of style blogging in my opinion.  Something might look GREAT on but can photograph terribly.  They always say that on the red carpet, “The dress looked so much better in person than it does on TV.”  I believe it!  I’m secretly always wishing for slightly overcast days… it’s when the outfits and colors photograph best.

Don’t forget to enter my current Stella & Dot Giveaway – it ends next week!  Have a great long weekend!

xoxo, Christina
