13 Summer Outfits/ TeenVogue

All Mixed Up

{Urban Outfitters blazer (similar here), Ali & Kris toprag & bone/JEAN shorts, Marc Jacobs bag, Heels from Lulu’s (old), Elizabeth & James sunnies, Michael Kors watch, Bracelets: Stella & Dot c/o, Jewelmint c/o, David Yurman, Tory Burch earrings}

If you read this blog regularly, you already know I am a fan of mixing patterns.  I love breaking the rules!  I came across this striped blazer at Urban Outfitters and LOVE that it has vertical stripes instead of horizontal (which usually make you look wider).  I found that wearing colors in the same color scheme is what made this work. What fashion rules are you going to break this summer?

Make sure you enter my Blair Ritchey Giveaway which ends tonight!  The winner of the FAB Lulu clutch will be announced tomorrow!

xoxo, Christina

    I love pattern mixing. I think we’ll look back at it in 20 years and say “what in the world we thinking” like shoulder pads and bangs in the 80s, but for now I’ll wear the hell out of it 😉

      I totally agree! Mixing patterns, color blocking, and crazy neon nails are in right now… but I know I’ll have to explain myself to my future children! 😉

    I like this mix of patterns. I think that using neutrals when mixing patterns works well too. This could be crazy if the colors were neon but black and white makes pattern mixing chic!
