I love mixing high and low layers and fall is the perfect time to do so!  I wore this outfit to the Greenwich Food & Wine Festival last weekend, pulling out this faux suede mini skirt that I featured back in July!  I loved the congac color running through the back of this plaid boyfriend shirt and knew it would pair well with the skirt… but I felt a little too western until I put this oversized sweater vest on top for a bit of contrast.  Just as a heads up, I sized up in the plaid shirt (to a medium) to get a more slouchy fit as I do with all my plaid shirts.  I’ve also been living in these Joie boots from last fall and am thinking of adding the tan version to my boot collection!
