During the fall months, there’s nothing better than being able to throw on a couple of lightweight favorites without absolutely freezing. We’re definitely winding down here in CT and the foliage is starting to fall. As beautiful as it is to have the leaves hit the ground, the sight of bare trees and that crisp wind is mildly depressing. There’s a beautiful tree in our yard that we wait and wait to turn color… it’s one of the very last every year and the sure sign that winter is coming. It normally turns color and the leaves fall within a week or two and we love to savor how beautiful the colors make our yard. It’s one of the very few times I’ve taken outfit pictures right in front of our house but totally worth the wait!
I’ve been living in a combination of this jersey turtleneck, distressed denim and ankle boots for the last couple of weeks. I added this gorgeous long cashmere cardigan this weekend when we were lucky enough to get into the upper 50’s during the day. I’ve also worn this outfit with an over-sized poncho and another time with just a leather jacket. Basics always amaze me because of the endless possibilities when creating an outfit and the price point on these Old Navy pieces makes them even better!
You can get 50% off all Old Navy items now through Wednesday… make sure to scoop these items up before they’re gone. And if you’ve missed any of my last couple posts with Old Navy, make sure to check them out here and here.

November 10, 2014 at 11:04 amI love everything you’re wearing here, and together they make the perfect casual fall look! Effortless but really well styled. I’m a basics girl too because you can create hundreds of outfits with a pretty moderate amount of pieces.
