I’ve been excited to share a little peek at our engagement photos with you since we took them earlier this month in Newport, RI.  And what a perfect week to do so… we’re right in the middle of the week leading up to our wedding weekend!  Raj and I admittedly were a little late jumping on the engagement photo bandwagon with an already intense summer trying to plan our wedding, which we only had just over 6 months to do!  We had our photoshoot planned with Rebecca Arthurs two other times and had to keep postponing due to weather… I swear, it only rained on the days we were scheduled to take them.  We were finally able to make it work in early July and decided to make an entire weekend out of it!  We headed off to Newport for 4th of July weekend and stopped at Sweet Berry Farm to take these photos in the apple orchards, and pop champagne in the middle of the trees (totally normal).  This guy kept me (and Becca) laughing through the entire shoot and I can’t wait to share Part 2 with you all later this week!

Traveling with little kids can feel like a lot before you even leave the house. The packing, the snacks, the schedules, wondering how the flights will go, if naps will happen, if everyone will sleep… my brain definitely spirals a little beforehand.

But once we’re here, it always feels worth it.

There’s just something about the beach that makes everything easier. The kids are happy digging in the sand, we’re outside all day, and no one needs much to stay entertained. No big plans, no constant moving around. Just fresh air and letting them play.

It’s definitely not “relaxing” with toddlers, but it’s a different kind of good. And every time we push ourselves to go, I’m glad we did. 🌴

Almost 40. Mom of 2. Packing pieces I can actually move in, eat in, chase kids in… and still feel cute.

Light layers. Easy dresses. Pool-to-lunch sets.
And yes — a lot of this is under $50.

No fantasy wardrobe. No stylist. Just what I actually wore this week.

Errands. Snow days. Meetings. Podcast. Mom life.

Proof you don’t need a million new pieces to look put together — you just need outfits that work for your real life.

    You know what’s wild?

How we can cook three meals, clean the kitchen a hundred times, fold laundry, wipe noses, break up fights, read the same book four times, order and unload groceries, squeeze in emails during nap time… and still crawl into bed at night thinking we did absolutely nothing today.

This winter has humbled me.

Between the constant sickness, snow days, and limited childcare, my “new year, new goals” energy from January feels like it belonged to a completely different person.

And yet. Look at what we actually do in a single day.

It’s not going to show up on a vision board. It’s not always pretty or photogenic. But it’s real. It’s hard. And it’s what keeps an entire household from falling apart.

If you’ve been feeling behind, unproductive, or like you just can’t get it together this season, I promise you’re not failing. You’re carrying more than most people will ever see or understand.

Showing up for the little things? That’s not nothing. That’s everything.

Tell me I’m not the only one crawling into bed feeling this way. 👇

I love a designer moment as much as anyone, but I also love finding pieces that give the same energy without the four-figure price tag. When I saw these, I immediately thought of the iconic pair everyone’s been wearing… and then I saw the price and added to cart.

They’re the perfect neutral. Not stark white. Not chunky. Just clean, classic, and easy. I’ve already worn them with straight jeans, and I’ll be pairing them with shorts and simple dresses once it warms up.

Quick sizing note: they run about a half size snug, so I went up half a size from my usual sneaker size.

If you want the exact pair, comment SNEAKERS and I’ll send you the link 🤍

I refuse to accept that once you have kids you’re supposed to fade into leggings and oversized sweatshirts forever.

You can be practical and polished.
Comfortable and cool.
