You’ll notice that when I tend to like an outfit, I try to replicate it as much as possible to make getting dressed a piece of cake.  I wore a similar outfit a few weeks back (plaid shirt, mini skirt, booties and a longer layer) and felt comfortable, yet put together… my favorite combination.  Enter this cozy sweater coat and softest plaid shirt you’ve ever felt, I knew I wanted to create a similar look.  I pulled out this leather skirt from last year (you can find a faux version here) and my favorite western booties that I can’t stop wearing.  I love the idea of mixed plaids as well, it feels a little safer than mixed prints since they’re in the same family but still gives an unexpected effect!

I have to give a shoutout to my mom for location scouting this beautiful backdrop.  I’ve been able to spend much more time at my parent’s house now that I’m blogging full-time and she’s been such a help with photos (and getting really good at it)!  Everyone say “Hi, Mom!” 🙂
