Hey everyone! I’m finally home from NYC after a long (but super exciting week)! As you probably saw here on the blog and on my Instagram, I partnered with TRESemmé this season, the official haircare sponsor for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! I got to head backstage and cover some of the best shows of the week and work with lead stylist Jeanie Syfu and their incredible stylist team to recreate some runway looks on my hair! One of my all-time favorites this season was the Marissa Webb show. I got to head backstage first and get all of the hair and makeup scoop and then I actually sat right behind her family and friends at the show. Marissa Webb is actually right on point with my style here on Oh So Glam. She finds ways to mix two very different styles together to create the perfect outfit. My three favorite looks from her show are above. Sheer, flowy pieces paired with structured outerwear, oversized sweaters tucked into boxy wide-leg trousers, and printed chiffon tops under a military jacket were just some of the looks I saw (and drooled over). To top it off, TRESemmé used clip-in bangs on most of the models to create perfect sleek fringe. The hair was everything at this show and really set the look. It was so fun to get to watch the transformation of the models backstage!
I wore this fun, tweed one-piece layered over a turtleneck and tights and worked with TRESemmé before the show to move the hair off my face (something I rarely do) into this braided mess of a bun. To create a soft texture before the braid, the stylist used TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Wave Creation Sea Foam. I loved the structured look of the outfit paired with messy, un-done hair. I think Marissa Webb would approve!
Be sure to check back over the next week for more behind-the-scenes photos and a step-by-step tutorial of one of my favorite hairstyles of the week!
