California Cool

Oh So Glam: California Cool Oh So Glam: California Cool Oh So Glam: California Cool Oh So Glam: California Cool Oh So Glam: California Cool Oh So Glam: California Cool{Tee: c/o Michael Stars (older, last seen here) || Jeans: c/o American Eagle || Heels: Steve Madden || Bag: Celine (used here) || Sunglasses: Ray Ban || Necklace: c/o Gosia Meyer || Bangles: Alex & Ani}

As I told you in my last post… I am the world’s worst packer.  I have to keep saying it for you to believe just how bad I packed for this 9-day California trip.  During the day was fine, I just usually kept a lightweight jacket or sweater with me over a sundress or jean shorts, but at night it was BAD.  I barely brought anything fancy for colder weather so I turned to some trusty staples (that I always pack) and tried to jazz them up as best I could for nighttime.  I wore this out for a nice seafood dinner in Santa Barbara one night.  Luckily, the California coast is so laid back that it barely mattered but I’m still beating myself up over just how unprepared I was.  ME.  The one who always over analyzes every. little. thing.  NYFW is coming up in less than a month and you bet I will be packing for every single scenario possible.  Last September was a heatwave and last February was a blizzard.  You might remember they named it Nemo.

    Love this laid-back style! I am a terrible packer as well—or just have bad luck with the weather! I went to Dallas in the spring and packed for hot weather, and it ended up being one of their coldest weekends! I did the same a couple weekends ago when I went to DC—whoops! 🙂

    This look is wonderful! I love a classic striped shirt and jeans. And the heels look great too. I am a terrible packer too. I try to fit as much of my closet as possible into my bag… Who knows what I might feel like wearing once I get there! My husband tells me it is an issue…

    I am the same way! You’re right though, California style is so laid back that it honestly doesn’t matter what you wear!

    I’m a notorious bad packer as well. UGH, I hate packing so much even thinking of it irritates me! Love your look today though – I think you did a pretty decent job packing! Such a gorgeous bag as well!

    You definitely would fit right in with stripes in Santa Barbara! Casual cool, perfect for the Central Coast :).
