Top 9 Spring Trends

Happy Friday AND Happy April, everyone!  It’s officially Spring (even if there is now snow in our forecast) and I’ve never been more excited to break out some warmer weather pieces.  I’m rounding up some of my absolute FAVORITE trends of the season – 9 to be exact, and showing you a bunch of different options at all different price-points!  All of these trends have been featured here on the blog before, so you’ll have a little inspiration if you’re lost on what to wear them with!  If you’ve tried any of these trends – make sure to leave me a comment with a link so I can check out your style!

This trend was seen in the form of the wedge in season’s past like this pair from Joie last year that I wore to my rehearsal dinner … but they are ALL over the place in the flat platform this year.  I scooped up two pairs myself: this comfy pair of Soludos from one of the season’s early sales and this pair of black platform sandals that I can’t wait to wear this summer!

Okay… I’ve been ALL OVER this trend for years and I’m so happy it’s finally made the mass market.  Off-The-Shoulder anything is a huge trend at the moment and there are so many tops and dresses that I can’t get enough of!  This chambray top above is FINALLY back in stock so get. it. NOW.

This is another trend I gravitated to early on.  I died a little inside when Aquazzura came out with the original lace-up flat and jumped on board as soon as I found a similar pair for $100!  I snagged two pair last spring: this black pair I wore into the winter and this insanely comfy nude pair I wore all last summer, and finally caved and got myself a pair of white for this season.  They go with basically anything… jeans, skirts, dresses, cutoffs.  And luckily for us, there are so many options now at all different price points!

The panama hat sure had its moment in the sun but brims are moving towards a flatter style.  The boater hat will be huge again this spring and summer!  I picked up this one at Forever 21 last year for $15 and it was such a hit that they restocked it again this season!  I also just scooped up this one from Sole Society – I love the straw texture and it has a little more of a laid back look!

People are having a hard time dealing with the fact that the 90’s are BACK in action – but I am super pumped.  I had a few of these back in the day and was happy to add a few to my collection again, including this black one that was $5!  I scooped it up in white as well!  Not only are they a super affordable way to take your look to an edgier place, but they also look great layered with necklaces you already have!  I layered this one with my Vanessa Mooney necklace and loved the look!  If the black velvet just isn’t your thing – try a subtle gold style!

Tassels just have a way of screaming warmer weather and they are making appearances in a lot of accessories now.  I love this white Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag I got earlier this season!  It reminded me so much of the Chloé version that I would NOT let myself buy!  I found so many styles at prices as low as $20 below!

If I had to pick one designer of sunglasses to wear for the rest of my life – no question in my mind it would be Ray Ban.  I own about every style and color and they are always the ones I gravitate towards when running out the door.  Sunglasses are my thing and always have been.  In my opinion, they add so much style to an outfit – more than any other accessory. Two years back, it was the mirrored aviators that were everywhere and last year it was the mirrored clubmasters.  This year, it’s 100% time for the round style to have the spotlight.  I added a gold pair to my wardrobe a few months back and have been wearing them daily.  I love that Ray Ban can take trends and somehow make them classics and I think it’s safe to say this trend will be around for some time!

Probably my favorite trend on the list this season.  Not sure if it’s possible to destruct jeans any further but the trends are sure going to try!  The Raw Hem trend is just that – the hem on the jean undone and it’s on every sort of jean imaginable.  If you were feeling crafty, it’s probably something that can be DIY’d, but I would much rather leave that to the pros.  The above pair are from my collaboration with Target last year and unfortunately sold out, but I found almost an identical pair at Express.

I stand by my statement a few weeks back that these will be the “it” shoe of the season.  I think I’m on to something considering they barely can stay in stock.  I was able to grab this nude pair about a month ago and was so glad I did!  You can see how I styled them on the blog already here!
